After spending the past month in Thailand focusing on work and school, we were more than ready for our next adventure. This time, we're off to explore a new country-beautiful Nepal.
Packing, as always, was a bit of a challenge. Even though we're used to traveling light with just carry-ons and backpacks, we needed extra space for our equipment this time. Once we found the right suitcase, we were all set for our flight. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the airport, we realized we had overstayed our welcome in Thailand by 7 days! We ended up paying over $800 at the border to be allowed to leave the country. Lesson learned!
We managed to sort everything out and catch our flight to Nepal. After a smooth 3.5-hour journey, we landed in Kathmandu, ready to start our next adventure.
A short taxi ride took us to our home away from home in Nepal, the modern Hyatt Place Kathmandu. Located just 4km from the city center, it was perfectly situated for us to easily visit all the local attractions on our itinerary.
We were warmly welcomed and checked into our suite on the 11th floor. The rooms were cozy and modern with a great central view-they offered everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
