On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

What made all of the missiles the F-35 fired at you guys so ineffective? i feel like you usually had solid success even against felons with the aim-120's, especially since the f-35's had altitude on the felons. Seemed like the f-35's stealth did just about nothing other than cause a mild inconvenience to the felons and their 120's never really got close. on the other side,, you guys had a really good shot-to-kill ratio against the stealth. Curious for a breakdown of the engagement and what caused that!

Yeah this video made no sense to me. The F35s basically just died to any missile that tracked, and you guys barely had to defend what I must assume was at least a half dozen missiles each? Were the F35s not shooting or what? Would love to see a breakdown from the F35 side here because this was a disaster.

It looks to me as if it’s because they were lower down and also front aspect for majority of fight aswell as the f35s went higher so they were against a better backdrop for radar, Also strategy and notch when missiles got close

And also the f35s stealth doesn’t matter that much if it’s backdrop is nothing, Example the sky, If it’s the only thing giving radar returns around it then it doesn’t matter

It's because the F-35s were at high altitude, they didn't defend properly and that's why their missiles had an easy time tracking. The felons defended and retreated very good and that's why the AIM-120s weren't so effective

This exactly. The whole video was janky. Not their fault, I bet it's the software messing up. I saw no reason why they were able to even shoot down that first F-35 without being shot down themselves. If they had really gotten that close to 4 F-35s they would have been dead. Notching and dragging doesn't work that well. Something was fishy.

Not possible. It only worked on V1s because of their very rudimentary autopilot with no roll control, when tipped over they would lose control and crash.

GS doesn't seem to like the F-35 much... especially since it seems badly modeled in DCS (it performs like an old 4th Gen fighter with a F-35 skin... everything interesting about its supposed capabilities seems to be muted)

@@artiefakt4402, it's basically an F35 skin over an F15 flight model. I seriously doubt even the stealth of the F35 has been modeled correctly. Even the electro-optical isn't modeled. Might as well just fly an F15 and be done with it. I like the F35, but I wouldn't even bother with it here.
