On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You should do the F15 with Meteors vs the Mig 31 with the R37's, I think it would be a good fight.

MiG-31 have the advantage, because of the R-37. He can just basiaclly launch that missile to the direction where he expect the bandit, and the R-37 will find it(MiG-31 dont really need to pick the enemy up with the radar). It has super long range about 400km and it can maintan a speed of mach 3 mach 4 for very long range.

Could you include what happens to a properly defended missile in an upcoming tacview debrief? I’ve always been curious as to whether the missile loses lock or simply crashes because it doesn’t have the range.

afaik the missile either will hit the ground bc the aircraft was going towards the ground or if it loses lock if its a fox-3 missile it will probably keep going to the targets last known location to lock him back and hit him again if it runs out of energy it will either hit the ground or it will self detonate to not accidentally hurt someone on the ground it depends on the missile tho

It's been shown before on his tacview reviews, if not explicitly. Once the missile drops below mach 1 it usually loses the ability to even generate enough lift to stay aloft, so it just plummets towards the ground and then disappears

You should do the US vs Russia thing again but with the rule that you can't choose the same jet twice so it's more interesting. Do like 5 or 6 rounds so you can have different engagements. Also make it bandit unknown so you have to choose your jet carefully.

Dude, I LOVE your videos. Your video editing skills are pretty sharp and professional. i have a few questions but I will keep them short: 1. do you do some kind of A/V work for a living, or are you just really good at video editing as a hobby? 2. Are all these recent what-if scenarios available as a part of the game, or do you have a SDK for DCS? 3. as long as you are playing around with meteors, could you do a Tomcat with it's kick ass radar loaded with Meteors vs a Flanker/Eagle/Foxhound?

Tomcat radars are outdated.. Eurofighter Typhoon, F15EX, Rafale have modern and better radars, also Eurofighter and Rafale got a smaller cross section than the Tomcat, although still not stealth like an F-35B or F-22.

We really need an R-77M or at least an R-77-1 for the Su27 and J11 in the base game. Or an SD-10. The only reason I can think that it shouldn't be is due to the faster sortie rate the Ru aircraft get due to the simple systems .. and yes I know that the SD-10 should only be on the J11B.

The Meteor hasn't got an Air to Air kill (that we know of) though. It's clearly an inferior Air-to-Air weapon to the GBU-10. Jokes aside, an F-15 with Meteors is the stuff of nightmares

There was a glitch a LONG while ago that allowed the F-15 to carry Phoenix Missiles on all pylons, of course it was eventually patched.

Meteror missile only has full functionality with the Gripen C/D and E and the Eurofighter Typhoon. Not with Rafale of any version yet and not with any other aircraft as there are no datalinks supporting it.

He tried it with Mig-29. But it is not as effective as it is in the f-14, because the engine separation in f-14 is probably the largest for twin engine jets. It can be tried on other jets, but it won't be as effective. By far, f-14 is the best one to do it. High risk high reward

Good question but....only the TC can do that propperly due to the layout and distance between the 2 engines! Hornet will be shyt. Personally I would love to see this tomfoolery of splitt throttles in the Eagle!

Waiting for the mig 31 vs f 22/su 57 BVR video! I’ve been super fascinated by the mig 31 and story of its predecessor the foxbat. Every since you did the first video trying to kill it, im dying to see if our modern stealth technology is enough to overcome the shortcomings with the f 15

I think he’s avoiding it bc with stealth the mig31 never picks him up and it’s easy kill.
