World Day against Child Labour was observed on June 12. In this regard, NLTV went to interact with the under-age children who were seen working indoors and outdoors. While interacting with them, some of them mentioned that they are working by the will of their parents due to financial problems, while some narrated their own grievances. Some had no other option but to work at such a young age, while some were forced to work, but couldn’t speak out about the cruelty they have been facing. However, it is very necessary to understand that Child Labour is a criminal offence, and is also stated illegal in the constitution of India. Whosoever makes children work at such age must realize and stop such acts as soon as possible for the sake of humanity.

Child labour is illegal. How about starving children to death? Don't romanticize everything. It is sad a child has to work but ground reality is much much different. NLTV and the reporter should take over from their owners who have no humanity in them and provide for these children's education, food, shelter and clothing.

Under Child Labour (prohibition and regulation) Amendment Act 2016, age between 14 to 18 are allowed to work but not in hazardous and dangerous work places like mining, factories. However labourers under 14 years of age are termed child labour and elligal.

NLTV Please focus on our young Naga entrepreneur and take an interview with them, there are many of them that has not been reach by any media person in and around Dimapur and Chumukedima area, some work as carpenter, Small Business, some setup Small industries like bricks manufacturing etc etc so that we can encourage our young generation to follow their example,, NLTV should promote our young entrepreneur and young generation instead of non local (child labour),, Interviewing these non local doesn't make any sense, Child labour is not new in our state specially non local,, From childhood they're brought up and taught by their parents in that way as we all know it, if childline or NGOs intervene on it will not be able to control child labour specially in Dimapur,,
