Neo Anderson she doesn't have to say nothing. Women are not doormats. Yes I get your point about the verse but she can share her thoughts in a proper way. And if she believed his requests are against the teaching of scripture she can refuse.. It helps if she knows scripture versus an uneducated opinion... Women are to be the helpmate to the man in marriage, not a mute servant. Just have to be respectful. Eve was created from the side"rib of Adam not his foot bone. She is an equal. But I agree that the man has spiritual authority over his home/wife but that authority should never be lorded over or cruel.

Neo Anderson you are single or have no relationship with your wife.. That's that. Nowhere in the Bible to it tell the husband to be a tyrant. He is to love/value his wife as Christ loves the church...

Neo Anderson not sure what version u use. I believe most say to love your wife as Christ loved the church. Been married 25 years to the same woman. Very blessed. Glad u are having sex regularly. It is a very important part of a healthy marriage. I would still warn you to check your wife's heart with your authoritarian attitude towards her. If u are a good man and treat her well and does what a man should do then it is easier for a woman to submit to your leadership. Hopefully that is the case. My experience is that most men with the thought pattern u wrote about do very little for the wife to be able to respect them. But want to pound scripture in their heads so that they submit regardless. Those men may see outward submission from fear or intimidation but I can tell you the heart of the wife is being shattered and that marriage may not make it the distance. Like I said. If yours is different then you may be the exception not the rule. It is always easier to follow a kind loving leader. No one likes an insecure leader who has to throw their "authority" around. Neo Anderson Ephesians 5:25 is the verse on a husband loving his wife. No mention of sacrifice... But yes a good man clearly does sacrifice for her and his family..

You might want to buy "The Power of a Praying Wife" by Stormie Omartian. I know what your talking about and this book has helped greatly when you don't know what to pray. Make it meaningful &sincere when you read the prayers though. Also, remember it's not flesh & blood we war with but spirits & principalities. He may need deliverance... also, ask the Holy spirit what you need to be doing differently as well.
