It is quite easy for GS to tick the boxes (e.g. "check the exterior of the watch") even if they have not really done anything except cast a glance on it. You're lucky it just took them 10 days to return your watch. From Melbourne, it took them approximately ten months. They had the watch for 6 months, returned to me without really completing the job, and had them work on it for another 3 months. And it's just a Quartz watch (SBGV245).

Ahh yes the seconds hand has to be aligned but not the bezels😂 thanks for your information I'm getting new, pre owned GS serviced soon. I own a international, non us model so it'll be interesting

I just got mine for warranty work as it was running slow. They found the balance spring misaligned and adjust accuracy. Now my watch running fast 6 seconds in just 12 hours. I may have to send it back

Where did you buy your SBGX335? AD's in the US are not able to get them.

They probably marked 22 miniscule for the battery change.

Heck you could easily sell that box to significantly lower the service cost.

The first battery replacement is at no charge if you purchase from GS store

Shouldn't they have marked the next battery change date on the caseback? I don't see that they added a mark on it.

Yes, they marked it but the mark is very very tiny. Almost hidden except in bright direct light

Interesting.... My SBGN005 seconds hand doesn't hit every marker with both eyes open but essentially does with the right eye open.

It’s kind of silly to think that Grand Seiko would mess up the case back when they open the watch… Based on that logic, they would also mess up the case back when they install it as well…
