GT-R chasing Lamborghini Huracan Performante | Nürburgring Nordschleife BTG

Entered the Nordschleife as this Lamborghini Huracan Performante Ringtaxi showed up in front of me. Had a blast chasing that awesome car around, hopefully those inside it were having fun too. :)
The video quality is a little poor, I was experimenting with FOV-settings, and It turned out a bit shakey. It also made everything look pretty slow, dont really get the sense of speed here.
My car specs/mods:
- Nissan GT-R Track Pack 2012
- "Stage 1 upgrade"; injectors, mid exhaust, filters, ecu.
- Running 1 bar turbo-pressure in this video just to play it safe, car can run up to 1,2 bar of boost.
- Aral Ultimate 102 octane fuel
Inside:
- Recaro Pole Postition Seats
- Heigo rollbar
- Takata Harnesses
- Gopro Hero 5
Chassis:
- Öhlins road and track coilovers
- Whiteline Sway-bars
Brakes:
- Alcon slotted rotors with Carbotech XP12 brakepads
Wheels/tyres: (Special thanks to Oleg at Atomic for a great deal on used wheels and tires! I damaged my primary set)
- OEM Rays/Nissan wheels, 9,5x20 + 10,5x20
- Old and worn 285/35-20 + 315/30-20 Toyo R888

Awesome, I only played Stim on this. You were really fast and never cause any dangerouse scene. You showed me how skillful you are on real thing.

Thank you Jonathan, for your positive comment. That is really what I am eager to do, to drive fast, yet safely. These sessions is joined by inexperienced drivers, so I never pass anyone until I know I have been seen. Thanks again. :)

@@danpettersen1 smarter idea vittel just made a vid of him and his buddy nailing it on the nurb using a Gt2Rs & perfromante and based off that i could see the dude in the lamb here was being way cautious in comparison you on the other hand gave it a lil more but also was cautious great driving and great vid man.

Thanks. Well, sort of. These were worn and old, so they didnt grip as much as I wanted. But the stiff sidewalls of the R888 (compared to a Cup2) is really great for high-speed corners. Gives more stability and confidence through fast corners.

Is this the normal spec GT-R ? Or the Black Series

Neither of those, it's a Track Pack. A Track Pack GT-R has RAYS Spec-V wheels, stiffer suspension, extra brake cooling for both axles, and no back seat. Might be some other small differences as well.

It does'nt work with my Öhlins coilovers. They are not connected to that system/switch.

Thanks! :) Yep, I realize that. Short-shifting all the time. I don't look at the rev-counter when I drive, I upshift only by sound. It's too early, but it's become a habit now. I upshift between 6-6500 rpm, redline is 7k. Definately room for improvement as you've pointed out. :)

I first thought they were being a bit reckless. Then I realized they actually were a lot reckless! Sure...they are excellent drivers and slowed perfectly for the bikes. But... They "convinced" other drivers to slow for them. No one running this track in their Ford Transit wants their lap time ruined!

@@danpettersen1 I have the mkiv supra for now thinking about swapping for GTR or R34. Better on the track with the 4wd system and weight distribution. Allthough Bignumtt's supra is quick

@@exoticspeedefy7916 Sounds like you're onto something there. Supra's are great, but I think GTR's perform better around the track. Best performance for the track = R35. Best for your wallet = R34. :)

@@danpettersen1 Well if i get the GTR it's going to be the Nismo spec, but that fucker is rare and expensive. I guess it will be worth it for the performance. Im going to need good insurance. LOL

@@exoticspeedefy7916 That's obviously the best choice, I totally agree with you. But the Nismo R35 just be a "little" bit overpriced. I think those were double the price of a stock one, but I dont think you get twice amount of car... Dont think the difference is that huge. But if you can, go for it! :)

Thank you for your comment! :) The Lambo was faster in a straight line, but as it is a taxi, they dont go flat out. So he would probably have left me behind if he had pushed 100%. But still fun to see what the GT-R can do against supercars more than double the price. :)

I am fortunate enough to own a 2018 Cadillac CTS V with some upgrades that have me making 700 whp and lord how i would love to be able to drive it on thus world class track. PS with my wife's permission of course😒😒😒😒😒😒😒

700 whp sounds like overkill if it is your first time at the Nürburgring. :) But I get what you're sayin, would have been sweet to drive a car like that there. You might look into renting a car, many rental companies have cars there with more than enough hp's and are fitted with rollcage, semislicks, bigger brakes, suspension upgrades and so on, and the prices ar'ent that bad, if you compare to taking your own car.

seit wann ist es eine Kunst mit nem GT-R nen Performante zu überholen? mal abgesehen davon das der im Lambo bisschen vorsichtiger unterwegs ist? Zumal ein Lambo versenken eine andere Geschichte ist als nen GT-R zu zerlegen. Aber schön gefahren.

Well, it is what it is. I guess the purpose of the video is the fact that I was able to keep up with a supercar with over twice the value + a professional driver in it. I am simply an amateur who comes to the 'Ring once a year. Yep, as I commented many times here, Lambo could have driven much faster. And left me in the dust. But he did'nt, and that gave me the opportunity to chase and get a cool video. But I appreciate your last words there, thanks!

The GT-R is not stock, but not a crazy amount of power, about 600-650 hp, and some chassis-mods. Dont think the Lambo-driver is a poor driver, remember, he is doing taxi-laps with customers. And they do need to think about the wear on these cars. That's why he's braking early. Probably a professional driver, so if that person went flat out, I would might have been left in the dust. :)

You're right, japanese interior design has never been good. Compared to Germans and such. But then again, interior design is'nt really on the top of my priority-list. :)
