Micheal is in denial about his past. The moment he decided to snitch on his friends, he had to convince himself that his past life was bad which is why he had to do what he did. If he didn’t, he’d drown in self-hatred. Deep down he is self-aware enough to hate himself but he also doesn’t want others to tell him he’s a piece of shit, which is why he gives excuses to others in which he doesn’t believe himself. Possibly, so others might agree with him and give him the validation he wants to believe in his own excuses. Micheal is like Trevor except he has the self-awareness to realise he’s a piece of shit but doesn’t have enough self-control from stopping himself from it. At the same time he’s all insecure and gets all defensive when someone tells him who he is. It’s hard to understand but I honestly do. Used to be the same, I didn’t kill people or rob banks but I did fucked up shit, felt bad about being a piece of shit and then repeated that behaviour. However I would still get defensive af when someone called me out. I’m getting better now though, but I can understand Micheal. I’ve made decisions I thought would be like ripping off a bandaid and then I’ll be chill all my life, but that shit stays with you.

I think it's safe to say that Michael isn't scared of Trevor like everyone else; he isn't scared of him because he could kill him, but more so he's scared of what he might think. In the first conversation he knows Trevor isn't gonna hurt him or his family anymore; would've done so long before if he wanted to. And yet he tries as hard as he can to make him think he didn't forget about him or that he didn't abandoned him purposefully. Then Trevor responds with that "yeah... Sure" your girlfriend gives you when she knows you're bullshitting her, which is just hilarious.

I think everyone doesn’t understand the story, Michael is a liar. He lies and acts like he missed him. He set up a deal to kill trevor but it went wrong(brad walked infront of him) so he changed his name and moved to los santos to stay away from him on purpose

@@hetpeer4053 That does not mean he hates Trevor. He wanted him dead because 1. Brad had no connections to Michael (He was just hired muscle), 2. Brad likely would not go on a massive revenge if he found out Michael was alive, and 3. Brad was far easier to catch, so there would not be any loose ends. In the end however, Michael got lucky that Trevor lived since that saved him from dying with Franklin and gave him a far greater life purpose, as well as helping settle his self-loathing.

one time i left the strip club as michael after a group mission there. (after trevor found out the truth) then i switched to trevor after michael got in the car. trevor was walking in the middle of the street right next to the stripclub, idk where his car was, but then all of a sudden, michael drives right by and gets out of the car and suddenly started asking trevor for forgiveness, to forget about the pass, etc. trevor was pissed ofc and went on some crazy bs again then michael he left in his car. it was a interaction ive never seen before.

These conversations were way too short to make the actual effort to drive and pick them up. It makes for a great compilation though. I hope the conversations are a lot longer in GTA 6 like in GTA 4.

It is sad to think that michael and trevor is basically a coin in a different side. Michael will never be able to convince trevor that he had to go because he had families. Trevor, will also never be able to convince michael to never stop being who he is. Because trevor never had a family, and Michael always had responsibilities. It is like seeing a dynamic duo that had to seperate due to different interest. In the end, michael was right. It had a good run, but it must end
