I just turned 18 when GTA 5 came out in 2013. I will be 30 when GTA 6 comes out. I stopped caring so long ago. I barely even play anymore. I really just like coming to Broughy’s channel to see what I’ve missed out on. They can delay it all they want, it’s not something I’ll get excited for until there’s a concrete date. Rockstar kinda blew my excitement by waiting so long and I think other longtime players would agree. Waiting years and years for follow-ups seems to be the norm now.

It technically was delayed internally. It was supposed to release in FY2025, now it's releasing FY2026. R*s forecasts reflect this. FY2025 is now forecasted to be $5.55 billion to $5.65 billion, down from its prior forecast of just over $7 billion. That's significant and only GTA 6 being pushed back can realistically account for that.

Wish work didnt get in my way for watching these podcasts live, so thank you for uploading them on youtube. Those few I caught live have always been enjoyable.

If we're predicting the releaase date, then my tea leaves tell me it will be the 7th or 8th november 2025

Actually I kind of agree it was delayed, just not publicly of course. Take two was predicting 8 billion revenue by April 2025, not anymore. Sounds like an internal delay to me

The rumors before the release of the trailer in the past December stated that the game was originally supposed to be released in fall 2024 to then be internally delayed to early 2025 and now finally they made the official statement of the window being fall 2025. AGAIN, these are just rumors but I have the feeling fall 2025 will actually be the real window. Perhaps October, the same month in which GTA III, VC and SA were released. I refuse to believe the game is going to get delayed even further, c'mon

I feel like the pandemic a few years back was enough of a delay for GTA 6, as they've probably been in the works of the game since 2018 if not earlier so a Friday September 12th release date which would be 1 day before 12 years of GTA V, with Online releasing Friday October 3rd to give players the time to enjoy and explore the map and its secrets would be substantial

The issue with releasing it in December is that they’ll lose a bunch of day 1 sales with people “waiting until Christmas” as gifts etc

I don't think game releases are concerned with solstices or equinoxes or whatever for season changes. I think it goes by every 3 months. Winter would start in Dec and go through Jan and Feb. So, Fall 25 for GTA 6 would be Sept, Oct, Nov. Makes sense to me that way.

Like every project these days. Be it a building or a game. Delays are expected. And also most big projects have their development/construction costs double before it is finished. I don't expect it to come out any sooner than mid 2026. And they will probably push trailers out to drip feed us from time to time. Their cash cow GTA online will be squeezing the last dollars out of the customer base in the meantime.

My prediction is 25/10/25 just because it sounds nice and their most recent game RDR2 came out on 26/10 and a lot of games through their history have come out around mid-late October

RDR2 was delayed twice from its original release date of late 2017, so if that’s anything to go by I’m gonna say GTA 6 will be out sometime mid to late 2026

Without meaning to sound pedantic, solstices and equinoxes are astrophysical phenomena, based on the longest day and the longest night, and when the day and night are the same, marking the turning points of the seasons according to heat and light from the sun. Which is far more mathematical and scientific than the arbitrary naming and numbering of dates.

Can someone write the Strauss Zelneck comment on GTA 6 PC? I can't find it in their earnings report, perhaps it was edited out or something?

On the discussion on the PC release: I think there is a good chance that GTA 6 surprises you all by releasing on PC at the same time it does on consoles (or at least on xbox). Here's my reasoning: The current XBox Generation has a significant difference to Xbox 360 back in 2013 and that is that basically no games that come out on the console and aren't available on PC at the exact same time or earlier. While I only have a memory of someone saying xbox exclusives, even just timed ones are no longer company policy and discuraged I couldn't find any evidence of it. But going through all Xbox Series games on Wikipedia I could only find 12 games that never released on PC (Just dance 21-24, NHL 22-24, Unicorn Overlord, MLB The Show 21-24, although MLB The Show is apparently a cloud only game and available through the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) and four games that released for PC later (Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, No More Heroes III, Lost Judgement and Judgment, of which No More Heroes III was region locked to Japan for five days before coming out on PC and the Judgement games being delayed by about a year on PC because of a legal dispute on the main actors portrait rights). So while it could be possible that GTA 6 gets a delayed release on PC I think it is interesting that less than 5% of games on Xbox Series don't release on PC earlier or at the same time.

I actually love that response from the TakeTwo exec about the PC announcement. People are reading way too much into the fact it didn't get announced (yet), and he's taking advantage of it to stir more conversation around the title. He's being as uninformative and at the same time as long-winded as possible, on purpose.

I don't care how much they delay it, most important is that they release a game with a lot of stuff in it, much more than in gta 5. Like more houses to buy, more realistic mechnincs, place like restaurants. A lot of stuff. So they can delay it a few years, most important is to avoid launch like cyberpunk 2077 and to not have cut content because of time constraints. So R* can take their time to release a masterpiece that we can play for years to come. I mean, if we're gonna play it for 10 years, it better be good, they better put s much as they can in the game

The released date will keep getting pushed back as long as folks keep buying garbage DLC. They're all fat n' sassy with your cash flow. What's the hurry?

I've said it before, will say it again: September 19th. Very early in the trailer you can see the sign that says "Why 69 when you can NINE1NINE?" This is a parody of a Nightclub IRL called E11EVEN, that always advertises the club with a plane flying over the beach. But the 919 could clearly be a hint of September 19th, which fits quite well with the time window suggested by them.

Gta6 was supposed to be released start of 2025. they Never said the actual date due to they don’t want to publicly delay it. it would be catastrophic to their stocks. they will try everything in their power to not publicly delay.

We were never promised a precise date in Trailer 1, it says coming 2025 and it was left ambiguous. FY26 for Take Two Interactive is April 1st 2025 to March 31st 2026 and that's when the $7bn in net bookings is predicted

Hope they use REDDEAD2 physics because mag dumping into a body should not have the body being pushed across the ground. It looks so silly, RD2 has the closest to real life death animations. The whole cavity system on the gore side was ok too. We want enter and exit wounds, leaking, and brain matter please thx.

I'm not a gambler, but I'd bet $10 GTA6 doesn't come out until 2026, most likely April or May. I don't care when it comes out, I just want it to be as great as it can be. I kinda wish release dates would just go away altogether. Just say, "We're working on it. As soon as we're happy with it, we'll release it."
