GTA San Andreas Vigilante Mission - using a Rhino tank

This is a complete run of the Vigilante Mission for Grand Theft Auto: San Andres.
NO CHEATS and no mods were used.
This is a completely legitimate game.
PC Version 2.0
I reached Level 60 and passed the mission at level 59.
Technically speaking, it's impossible to ever "Pass" the Vigilante Mission... one of only four things can happen:
1) You run out of time and "Fail" the mission.
2) You stop the mission yourself.
3) You get Wasted or Busted.
4) You leave your Law-Enforcement vehicle for more than 60 seconds.
You'll never see the message "MISSION PASSED" ever.
As long as you've completed Level 12, then you've passed the Vigilante Mission regardless of what messages pop up on the screen.
I used the exact same Rhino tank for the entire mission.
For every level increase of the Vigilante Mission (including Brown Thunder) your vehicle becomes "hardened" and less prone to damage than the previous level, so it can withstand a great deal of punishment. (thanks to OrionSR for that information).
Every level increase also "refreshes" the vehicle by taking away most of the damage that was incurred from the previous level, making it a little stronger.

Here are the details:
I acquired the Rhino Tank from Area 69. I did the Vigilante Mission to Level 59. I then lost the Wanted Level and saved the game.
The saved game I used is from my Minimal Skills series.
The highest I've ever gotten using the exact same Police Car is Level 82.

Funny how the rhino is immortal as fk on vigilante missions but when you use it in free roam fire or being hit repeatedly from other rhinos will destroy it, not to mention that damn police chopper in sandreas is annoying and goading as hell!

i bet the only reason you stopped at level 60 is because your already knew there was no limit, you could essentially play vigilante forever. when you got that high and just up and quit i looked up the highest vigilante record, and some guy got to like level 1,416 with the apache helicopter. i wonder how long that took him hahaha

You can't destroy it with bullets, you can't destroy crashing, you can't destroy shooting RPGs, you can't destroy with explosions, but you can destroy throwing a molotov on it or driving through fire. Great!

A minigun wont explode a tank You cannot destroy a tank with a vehicle when you crash because your vehicle explodes. Shooting RPGs wont work either and other. Or explosions because a tank is indestructible. Molotov is the only weapon you can destroy

You do know that shooting backwards gives you quite a decent push, right? Becomes handy when need to speed up or climb a hill, but you never used it. Also, makes me wonder what'll happen if a tank at full speed meets a train.

I did use that. At 1:04:06 I got stuck in the alley because it was too steep. I turned the turret around and began firing to propel the tank up the hill. Otherwise, I just didn't feel like using it.

Quite a cool no-cheat fun game in SA. Just discovered it by playing it on my Switch this afternoon, having unlocked all the aircrafts at the Verdant Meadows airstrip (100% gold pilot school). Taking one of my copters, going to the "neighbor", steal their Rhinos, and Vigilante all the way up. Other no-cheat fun game i used to do is in Vice City, going to the drugstore in Little Haiti, and raise hell up to 6 wanted stars there with a rocket launcher, unlimited life & pills

When is the earliest in-game that you can obtain the Rhino? I have only ever found it at Area 69 and even then only until i have obtained a 6star wanted level from a killing spree in San Fierro. Is it only unlocked/obtainable after a certain point in the game...?

Pretty sure you can unlock it the first time when you unlock Torreno's missions as you are unable to get 6 stars before that. Sorry for the 3 month old reply, lol.

As the levels progress, the ability of getting a higher Wanted Level diminishes. That means it's virtually impossible to get a 6-Star Wanted Level at the higher levels. That's the way Rockstar programmed the mission. It's the same for the Pimping mission and Paramedic mission.

Steal the tank and put it inside your hangar in Verdant Meadows. Then save the game. Now you will begin the mission with no stars. I reached level 71 in this way. During the mission, you will never overcome the 3 stars but if you find a star, collect it and it will be easier. Good luck. If you want, after the mission, you can take a tank from your hangar and bring it in one of your houses with a large and sufficiently high garage. I've got 8 tanks arround S.Andreas.

I was at level 291 then i discovered that the tank exploded because it needs the same amount of fire damage of an ordinary car😂, i was at level 321 and i got arrested because i couldn't see the cop coming, i ended up in water (hitting MOTORCYCLES made me fly onto water)/exploded for flipping multiple times, and finally i reached level 392 and i got $1B-1😂

Stfu. On every video there's some person commenting that some cheat code would help him as if he doesn't already know about the cheat code. His videos are for professional gamers and speedrunners, not cheaters. You can't to my knowledge. The ones in the military base don't spawn yet and you can't reach a 6-star wanted level either.

To be honest, you can keep shooting at npc just to increase your wanted level until you have reached 6 stars then they will send tank to chase after you and you can just rob a rhino just like how we rob those vehicles from other npc.

No you can get it from the military base once LV is unlocked I know because I have done this before.

i broke "Gray Import" some times and 6 stars had unlocked (sorry for broken english)
