Ya the color pallet thing really confuses me. THe haze effect i kinda just assumed was a special function of the ps2 hardware that is much more expensive with how modern hardware works, or something. But the color pallet looks so much better on PS2, like it has that perfect orange and teal combo that was on basically every single movie poster is 2008, because some study said it was the most attractive color combination, or something like that.

The missing haze effects don't help either. There's something about the character models making sense in the original graphics but not the new ones. I think it's the animation

you can replicate it in the OG PC version with ''skygfx'' mod, it looks incredible, like ps2 but at HD widescreen and high framerate.

@@JPX64Channel you shouldn't run it at high framerate though, san andreas (along with 3 and vice city) has physics problems because a bunch of things are tied to the framerate and dont work properly above 30fps

PS2 San Andreas is of course the original idea of the creators, the haze and colors bring the atmosphere the developers wanted for the game. But having in mind the low resolution and texturing it is hard to say it looks better than the PC port

@@shanevanholm2684 The weapon wheel makes the game kind of easy. If you're in any sort of danger you just quickly switch to the exact weapon you want, which slows time down as well. I would rather also get at least an option to the original game mechanics in a remaster that titled itself as a "Definetive edition".

Don't remind me of the PC version! It kept freezing my computer within 5 minutes, obviously my hardware fault. But I sooooooo wanted to play that I ended up renting a PS2 just to play. I became a GTA addict so quick, purchased a PS2 just for the game! I really want to PC GTA with all the fun available, but I'll never have a gaming PC cause I can't keep up on the $1000 vid cards required. LOL.

Well said. I still have the originals on both PS2 and Xbox and the Xbox version of GTA III AND VC are already improved versions compared to the PS2 one.

I still have my PS2 copies and a CRT to play them on. For me, that's the only way to play these games.

Yeah they added a frickin reflection effect on their skins/hair, that's ruin everything ! In some cutscenes we can clairly see reflection on hair and clothes.

I noticed the cutscenes on PC remastered are brighter than PS5 remastered, not sure what's up with that

It's 20 dollars per game and with the definitive edition you avoid download mods like silent patch, maybe an ENB, Widescreen fix, in the original games you can't play at 60 frames because the engine of that olds games doesn't support it, making the game annoying. Don't be exaggerated and think about it.

Tommy is constantly angry and sharp-tongued, so his "grin" made perfect sense in the original, now in DE there's a huge dissonance between his "sad puppy face" (especially since he only got one expression throughout the cutscenes, like on original) and the words he speaking. That's just scratching the surface. That dude is absolutely correct about not buying and supporting this half-assed shit, Take2, R* and WDS shoud've done a better job.

Hopefully, there are lots of NPCs, that was fun part of game..... just hanging out on a corner and hearing random conversations.
