I wish they had the same drag mechanics that samsara room does, it’s so tedious that every time I accidentally miss a point or accidentally pressed the wrong hand I have to click like a million more times to set it right

Right? Using the colors ended up working, but it's not like they hid the dots. I want to blame screen glare or something, but even Ash never said anything about seeing them, so I'm confused how they were missed.

@@ItsJustValHere There are many other rusty lake games besides cube escape. After I played cube escape I was so confused but the other games explained a lot. It can be bought in a bundle on steam for really cheap. Or you could watch John Wolfe, he's played all the games except the most recent one I think.

I just gasped so hard in excitement when I saw this notification that I think I sucked half the air out of the room. Definitely psyched to see MatPat playing one of my favorite games! Edit after watching: Personally, I hope to see a lot more of these videos, especially as someone who's played through multiple times - it's interesting to see someone going in blind, it kind of brings back that feeling of first playing it!

I just have to appreciate how Mat and Ash got to walk into this with no expectations and the expectation of logic. The ability to just laugh at and mostly shrug off the initial shock and awe because of this is great for them. When they are just as uneasy by the end as I was when I played these alone in the dark, it really speaks wonders to how unsettling the game and the atmosphere it creates is. I'm excited to see the chapters played for lots of specific puzzles and moments, but also to see how Mat makes sense of the story as he goes through it.

I honestly don't think that the theory would be more than Matt putting all existing lore together just to tell the lazy people. Its pretty self-explanatory if you played all games and are a fan of theories (which can mean that you are at least a bit good at looore search or learned from Matt)

This is great, I went down a Rusty Lake rabbit hole all last summer. I’d LOVE to see you theories about this universe. It gets weirder and even more unsettling, but EVENTUALLY things start clicking into place. A lot is still unanswered but things make more and more sense in hindsight, especially if you allow yourself to think in metaphor.

I have been playing the rusty lake games since...2015?? 2013 even, with the original samsara room. it's so nice to see its growth and to see more youtubers play it and be sucked in it, esp MatPat who is perfect for this because oh lord, the lore is THICC. i really can't wait to see him go through every game and to see the mystery unravel.

It was so exciting seeing Matt play through this game, even though it isn’t a very eventful one. I’ve played each game so far, with the exception of, I believe, the two latest ones due to me putting my funds elsewhere for now. I have waited years to see Matt play and analyze these games, because the lore is so extensive and deep and I have no clue how to interpret it. It’s just so cool. Hoping he continues this and sees it out. The first few games are kind of slow but once you get to Case 23, it’s insane.

OMG finally I'm seeing you do Rusty Lake!! I've played their games for years and love them so much. I used to go to whatever game page with my dad and play escape games all the time. When I discovered the Rusty Lake games some time later I started playing them as they came out and was very intrigued with eveything. I got my sister into them some years later and we would spend time together playing them and bouncing ideas off each other to both solve the puzzles and try to figure out the story.

Ahhhh I’m so glad you’re covering these games now!! I loved playing these games when I was in school! Very interesting and occasionally scary games and it just draws me in every time! I really hope you enjoy these games and all the lore they have, the rabbit hole is endless on this one frfr can’t wait to see what you think of my favorite in the series:)

I love the Cube Escape games, and I’m SO glad you’re taking them on so that you can use your much bigger theory brain than mine to sort out all the convoluted details into one overarching plot. I was actually one who recommended these games to you, and I’m so glad you’re actually playing them for us to see on KZfaq!!

The rusty lake games have always been some of my favorites and I'm so excited to see these being played on GTLive! I hope we're able to see MatPat play through all of them! (it would be so worth it for the LOOOOORE)

Believe me, everyone will love it if you played all the games and then made a timeline explaining everything that happens in this series. There is so much lore and so much theories and we all would love to see how your creative mind will analyze it all. I'm sure you'll enjoy both the gameplay and the LORE! haha
