Two of the nicest cats in the league go at it in a classic battle. 1-0 Dizaster tries to win against 2-0 Reverse Live, who is trying to become the first GTWC emcee to get 3 wins. Who will take it?

Reverse live got robbed, diz stumbled various times throughout the battle, reverse came with hard bars consistently. That "fresh naseen hamed prince of belair" was body bag material also

Jon A yeah Live had this easy. First two rounds Live got easy. Clearly judges didn't want to go against the diz in la. It wasn't even close. Live so underrated.

I grew up in Nor*Cal and like a certain type of rap. That west coast stylistic flow that hits. C-Bo, Brother Lynch, E-40, Celly Cel just to name a few while growing up. In battle rap I think Pass has that style of Rapping I dig, and Reverse Live is another one that just raps! I spoke to my homie Lush about why Live wasn't pushed more back in Grindtime days. He put it like this. East coast battlers wanting a match up wasn't feeling take a match up with Live when at the time the West Coast was stacked with arguably the best talent in the game. Dudes wanted Thesaurus, Diz, Illmac, Dirtbag Dan, Okwards, Against that line up Live was 5th or 6th down the line. So he couldn't get the match ups he wanted or needed to propel his battling career. Plus he wasn't from a spot that was considered a place that produced good rappers, Hollister...No one was trying to mess with a white guy from the suburbs. At least thats what was told to me. I think now he has a shot at killing it if they give him a shot. Still has it. He raps and says we people be thinking.

Grindtime era was when I hated Dizaster. I thought he was horrible. In the past 2-3 years he has been fire so this one goes to Reverse Live because he had better punches and bars.

Alright, so maybe you don't like Dizaster for whatever reason, but give him some credit. He's improved exponentially since WRC, has his own style, and beat one of the best who ever did it. Check it, even The Saurus is man enough to give props.

No. Rap's most basic principle is that it should rhyme. With that being case, if you can rhyme more than one syllable all the time, do it. It shows skill. Of course there are exceptions, like if you have a ridiculously good line that can't be put to multi, but for the most part there's no reason for a single syllable scheme if you can help it.

Multi-syllable rhyme schemes should be the basis of any rapper's arsenal. Everything doesn't have to be multi, but rap sounds better when people are rhyming more than one syllable.

Ya ok. the only reason why Dizaster does "Ayo Ayo" is to pause and calm the crowd to make sure they hear what he's saying next. Notice how Reverse says "Yo" aswell after he says something funny but he doesnt do it as much cuz Dizaster makes the crowd laugh more and hyped up.

that guy for real Live had this easy. First two rounds were taken by Live. Judges went with the bigger name. Huge diz fan but Lives rounds were structured how battle rap is now, meaning Live was ahead of the game.

Yes, really. Jze Juce isn't the one to look at for a model grind time rapper. All of the people in GT considered good use multi, and even the current Fight Klub champ uses them as well. If rap is about rhyming, why rhyme 1 syllable when you can rhyme 3 and still get your point across. This isn't even debatable man.

I absolutely 100% back up Reverse Live in this battle. diz definitely had jokes, but he got way too pissed off (like a rich kid who gets insulted WOULD) and lost his flow. he didn't keep calm under pressure. plus, RL had real good points and real shit to say. "when you saw footage of rodney king getting beat with those police sticks to you it didn't mean shit. when the LA riots went down you didn't hit the streets, bitch, cuz you ain't LA in the least bit." thats hard

he had to reduce the sound of "make" to make it fit in, that's what it sounds forced not a big deal, but the whole purpose of multis is to make it sound nicer; if it sounds weird, then it defeats the purpose, might as well just use single rhymes

This is a dope, aggressive battle! I think Diz took it. "Got a suggestion/stop with the guessing/geography lesson" was a dope flip! And it was a continuation of a previous rhyme scheme in attack, sick! Some of Reverse's rhyme schemes were too forced. "lost to him" doesn't rhyme with "not make sense", unless u say it in a weird way.
