Heavily underrated. Both came with clean performances, Marv had great angles, Verb had great bars, verbiage and cadence.

Enforced time limits and the crowds were so much better back then. Time limits made battle rappers have to spit fire instead of putting in all that fire. The crowds would react and go back to listening. Now, you can't even get them to calm down so you can go back to rapping. KOTD crowds are the closest thing to that type atmosphere.

After watching this battle several times, here's what I think: Rd 1: Tie. Rd 2: MarvWon edged it, in my opinion. Rd 3: Verb had BODYBAG material. Since I see it as a tie round by round, I have to go by who I think had the strongest individual round, which was definitely AyeVerb in the third. That was storm performance, there. So in my opinion, Verb edged it.

BB13131313 You're right about that, for sure. I could've sworn Iron Solomon destroyed E Ness, but watching it again a couple years later, I found it to be much closer than I thought the first few times, and definitely feel like E Ness' style held up better than Solomon's sing-songy, overly simplistic flow. That being said, who wins in battles (close ones, that is), is all about preference. I could see why someone might see it as 3-0 or 2-1 Verb; I just happened to disagree. Peace!
