There are tons of color ways that come in mids that don’t come in highs. A great example is the OG taxi highs and the maize mids. Nike gives no love to yellow so the mids are your best choice for black and yellow. It has nothing (or very little) to do with price.

In fairness to the sneaker community, aside from some harmless online banter, I've never witnessed anyone ever getting made fun of for wearing mids.

I love mids they’re more comfortable on the day to day also they look good in shorts. I don’t own lows. Girls have always rocked lows, here recently I have been looking at getting some for the summer though tbh. Really what I do agree on is the dad NB LOL. ALSO THE HUARACHE! I have a pair got hella compliments but I haven’t wore them in probably 2-3 years they’re perfectly fine.

The mids are excellent sneakers. Bought a pair all black in ‘19 and still holding up. Will continue to support them and buy other colorway

i’ve bought a couple pairs of mids. Shadow Reds, Reverse breds, and even the chicago black toes. i got so many compliments just from the shadow reds itself.

Mids have great colorways, they are cheap af. You can use them as your beaters without worrying about the fact that you’ll ruin a 500-1000$ shoe. They are just perfect in my opinion for daily wear.

These days I prefer Jordan 1 lows over highs and mids. They are so easy to rock and look good with anything you wear. I prefer to wear dunk lows over Jordan 1 highs even though the quality bad on most dunk lows.

Sure SOME mids are shit quality but then so are highs these days. And of course the Nike air label is better but again, not a deal breaker. Height really doesn’t bother me bc I’m short. I am still wearing my Air Jordan 1 Tan Suede mids. They are my favorite shoes. I got a lot of compliments even tho I didn't care. It looks good on everything I wear. The kids in the comments saying "mids are ugly and bad quality" are just straight up lying. Mine are 6 months old now and still look fresh out of the box. It is just how you treat your sneakers.

I don't see sneakers as a separate component but as an integral part of the outfits we wear, do they match the pants we're wearing, the tops we're wearing, whatever brand we choose, if they look perfect with our outfits, then wear them.
