In this episode of History Adventures we will visit some of Guadalcanal Monuments and Memorials.
We will be visiting three monuments in this video, the HMAS CANBERRA, Sir Jacob Vousa and the Coast Watchers. Each location we will give you a bit of history and then take a look at the memorials and monuments.

Wow, thanks for the account of this battle. My father-in-law served on Canberra. He stepped off to stand by his new ship the HMAS Arunta. He lost a lot of friends during this action. He went on to serve with the other Australian ships under the mixed task forces. Going to the Phillipines and the end of the war. Great series.

I was honored to give the address from the American descendants delegation in 2003. That was one of the highlights of my life.

Thanks for watching the video and making a comment. While in Honiara I had dinner with Sir Bruce and Keithie Suanders and they talked about the memorials in the city. I hope that you have had the chance to watch some of the other videos in the History Adventures series
