Why do so many people think they need to be touching the horse for their photo? It's aggravating seeing the horse constantly being palmed with no regard or connection to the actual animal at all. It also funny to see people standing as far from the horse as they can, because they are obviously afraid of the animal, but seem to be cued by whoever is taking the photo that they should put their hand on the horse. Then they stretch out, touch it, then jump away like it just gave them an electric shock.

As one born in England, it pains me to see what has happened to the country of my birth.

You would think that none of these people ever saw a horse. People are so rude and arrogant. The guards are fantastic, love when they yell and scare them.

You could see this building with that group of arrogant, self-entitled men! *Great job to this guard! He was onto them from the get-go!* 6:00 - That person says: "Don't touch" as they leave the area, laughing! So they clearly knew they weren't supposed to touch the reins, and did it anyways! Then they act like this guard did something wrong!

There’s a right time & place to dress like that. Dress appropriately in visiting a historic & cultural site like the Hose Guard Cavalry Museum where active soldiers stands guard to serve & protect. In other words, wear outfits that’s classy not trashy. The WARNING on the wall is fairly self-explanatory. Tourists MUST take notice for their own protection. Ignore & bear the consequences of your actions…

I really admire the patience of both the guards & the horses because to have to just stand there for periods of time & to have to put up with people continuously coming up to them, taking their photo’s & touching the horses etc….. at the end of the day they are there trying to do their job. Respect & common sense should prevail but there is also a politely worded big sign, yet people still blatantly choose to ignore & do what ever they want! I have to say my horse most definitely wouldn’t stand for it & neither would I, so good on the guards for calling any disrespectful idiots out👍

From Bison and Elk in Yellowstone, to the Queen's Guards' Horses in London, some people feel this strong magnetic pull to walk up to the animals and they just have to put their hands on the animals while taking selfies, as if they were best buds... Which is bad enough as it is, safety wise, BUT, some people completely lose their minds and all common sense, and feel the need to take it one step further...

I would suggest a white line around the area where the mounted guards are standing; tourists are not permitted to cross and can take photos without touching the horses or bothering working guards.
