I hope this spreads far and wide. I know others are also doing it, but it needs more. Everyone loves flowers.

I put golden poppy seeds in my front yard years ago that still keep growing every spring. Unfortunately my HOA sends me a letter every spring to pull the weeds from my front yard.

HOA's are about making sure everyone stays in the box. I hate that. I live in an HOA community, but they're a, very rare, cool HOA. Can you send them a print out of somewhere that sells the poppies for exorbitant prices and say that they are designer flowers?

if you got rid of a little more of your lawn for native plants you possibly could get your yard certified as a natural wildlife refuge. often times that can help stave off the overzealous hoa's but doesn't work everywhere.

I’ve often thought of doing this in seattle where the city/ WSDOT/Sdot allows invasive plants to take over almost everywhere. Would be so easy for the city /transportation departments to do this rather than allow nasty ivy /Himalayan blackberries , etc to cover

for real. i live in seattle too, and the blackberries and ivy are just eyesores. i wish we had freeways and streets lined with lupines, camas, bleeding heart, trillium, all sorts... gotta start somewhere tho right? i'll be sowing seeds along my walks downtown in the bare dirt patches i come across!!

JA/GENEVA/DAKAR/NEW YORK, 22 August 2017 - UNICEF is extremely concerned about an appalling increase in the cruel and calculated use of children, especially girls, as ‘human bombs’ in northeast Nigeria. Children have been used repeatedly in this way over the last few years and so far this year, the number of children used is already four times higher than it was for all of last year. Since 1 January 2017, 83 children have been used as ‘human bombs’; 55 were girls, most often under 15 years old; 27 were boys, and one was a baby strapped to a girl. The use of children in this way is an atrocity. Children used as ‘human bombs’ are, above all, victims, not perpetrators.

June 15, 2022 I love what they are doing, especially with the clear glass shakers to it is obvious what they are doing. Please end the use of those loud pink guns. They are way too noisy and sound too much like real gun fire. I'm sure it stresses out all the dogs, cats, birds, etc. in the area. Elephants at the Oakland zoo (all zoos near freeways, traffic, cities) probably died early from the stress of noise like these play guns, fireworks, daily gun fire, daily car racing. Nature and humans just don't 'mix.' Ideally, this couple should be paid to cover every roof in America into a 'living flower meadow.' This might help all pollinators from going extinct caused by mass advertising and use of chemicals like weed killer 'Round Up.' This is still being advertised and sold under many other names. It has been proven to cause cancer. All schools, including colleges and universities should stop using weed killers in their parking lots (pregnant students at risk of having babies with birth defects) and instead hire this couple to make their campus and 'town' beautiful. This could inspire thousands to get out of their cars and take a flower walk instead. (Dewayne Johnston was a Oakland Unified or Bay Area schools groundskeeper who got terminal cancer because of working with chemical weed killer. Thousands of students were exposed to the chemicals he was spraying). Billions are wasted every day on planned colonies in space. This is planned child abuse! Instead this same money should be spent on helping save all endangered species. ...was supposed to have said "...when the bees go extinct, humans go extinct." We only have about 100 years left according to science experts on the BBC's 'The Inquiry" comparing human extinction to approximately "...we are all going to die just like the dodo bird in about 100 years." This was about January 6, 2020.

Shiloh Prius Clemente, a small bird swimming coach, and partner Jupiter Telephone Sailbox Misanthrope, a custom pillow consultant, are looking for a top floor split level Victorian in San Francisco where they can raise a herd of albino hairless indoor giant Alpacas, for profit, and "to crush the souls of the corporate conformists living downstairs." Their budget is $25 million.
