Hello everyone, I just want to say that I know I made a mistake about the last show, Newhart. I now know (after many, many comments) that I put in the incorrect show’s cast picture. Please forgive me about the error. Since this video is, well, uploaded, I cannot change the picture. I do, however, appreciate all of the constructive criticism I’ve been getting because it will allow me to make better and more accurate videos in the future! :) Also I know that some of the TV shows I put into the video could be considered 70s shows. My way of thinking for where to put what TV show is what decade has the majority. For example, if a TV show first aired in 1978 and ended in 1983, then I would put that show into the 80s version, and not the 70s version. Like I said before, I do understand why people would think it’s a 70s show, considering it started in the 70s. But in my opinion, I would put the show into the decade with the majority. If a TV show first aired in 1978 and ended in 1981, then I would decide where to put it based on which decade the TV show would be best associated with, however sometimes I’m wrong with my placements. As always, if I do have any wrong information about a show or topic, then feel free to inform me in the comments section. :)

Is it just me, or does this make anyone else feel happy and sad at the same time? Brings back so many memories and missing those days, but glad that I got to grow up then.

I'm so thankful to be an 80s kid. These shows were the center of our social lives. So many memories flood my mind when I heard these songs.

The theme songs for Dynasty, Dallas, Falcon Crest & Knots Landing will always mean “it’s past my bed time” to me.

Initially I was sad because knowing all these shows made me think I was old. But then I realized, What privilege to have grown up during the time and the shows!

Kids today have no idea how excited we got when these songs played! No DVR, no rewind, no smartphones or iPads or social media, we just watched and enjoyed the show! The best of times

It’s amazing how listening to these theme songs you tear up reminiscing!! You can see your loved ones who passed on, landline phone with the long cord, antenna on top of the tv and the house you were raised in that looked so big but now you realize how small it was..I miss my grandparents so much..😢

Literally the best time to grow up…the garbage tv today is a reflection of how good we had it, and we didn’t even know it. People today don’t understand having to be in front of the tv at a certain time or you missed the show and running for food at the commercials…damn

You'll never understand how desperately these shows were needed in my home. This was some of the only relief from an abusive alcoholic mother. Even now at 40 this is therapeutic

Hearing these makes me want to cry because I miss the 80's so much. I wish I could go back.. Things were better and simpler. I wish our kids today could experience the life we had growing up in the 80's. Everything was better!

Does everyone else get a different emotion depending on what theme was playing? Truly an amazing time for me as a kid growing up in the 80s and watching these shows.

Knight Rider still is a one badass intro! And some of these remind me watching TV in the 80’s when half my family was alive. RIP mom and dad.

Man, I'm 42 and I am getting so emotional hearing these Tv tunes, that's crazy. I guess because father has passed on at 64 it reminds me of the times he was there,😭 No, one can touch these classics and not forgotten! THE 80'S 👏🏽💪🏾

I could literally feel and see my self watching these shows. It brought me back with happy tears. I could feel the outside breeze and the smell of house and nature now when each of these songs came on. Hard to explain but I just felt the moment. Wish I could go back!! 80 where the best decade.

Jeez, you guys are really hitting hard with the nostalgia here. Weird that the ones I thought I would know I am missing, and the ones I thought I would miss, I am guessing. Born in 1975, the 80s was such an interesting decade where I went from a small child to a teenager. These songs hold so much memorial value. Each one took me back to a different weeknight, hanging out with my mom (RIP) and not realizing I was living the best years of my life. Thank you so much for posting this. It was delightfully painful to get through.

When the majority of these played I didn’t want them to end so quickly. God nostalgia is a powerful thing.

Wow. I was born in 1986. I remember the re-runs from the 90's. At 35 years old I can even feel the warm feelings in my heart of such a happy time and life being simpler than now. It doesn't even compare or come close. I wish I could go back in time. I really enjoyed this. Thank you!

Wonder Years was so underrated show. one of the best shows of the 80’s

I turned 53 yesterday and I watched most of these. Literally the best time to grow up.

They had the 70's Bob Newhart cast photo. The Newhart 80's cast featured his co stars Mary Frann, Peter Scholari , Tom Postman. I know I forgotten I some cast members, but those are the ones I remember off hand name wise.

Dukes of Hazzard, The A Team, MacGyver and Knight Rider I literally took less than a second to recognise, they stand out so distinctly, some others only a second or two more. Dynasty and Dallas were so iconic, I recognised them immediately without ever having seen an episode. Really nice memories.

In my opinion the 80s was the best decade for movies, music, and television. Things were simpler and much better. You actually had to have talent to be a celebrity in those days.

Whew...so nostalgic...had tears running down my face and didn’t know it. Music has such a way of evoking memories. 🎶❤️

From Spain... it's incredible how American TV shows marked our childhoods, after dinner we seated around the TV and enjoyed these entertainment series.

Very thankful to have grown up in the 80's and the memories these bring back. Instantly took me back to my childhood hearing these songs from these shows. Imagine, this next generation will remember looking at their Iphone and social media all day long as their childhood memories

Listening to these theme songs just takes me back to so many different parts and scenes in my early years. I had my mom, I was young, happy, had friends to play with, school was cool and I was happy to come home after school to watch these awesome 80 shows. I feel so sad and happy at the same time. These shows help keep me sane in a way

Thanks for uploading this video. It brought back so many good memories. I was so excited hearing the tunes from my favourite shows. Some I knew from the first note others sparked recognition of the song but not the show. Thanks again for this super fun walk down memory lane. I loved the 80’s. They were some of the best times in my life. 💜💜

My brother and I had a 9pm bedtime, except on Thursdays when it was a few minutes later just so we could listen to the Cheers theme!

At 50...I still wanna just go back and be Magnum, Crockett and Colt Seavers...of course most kids would've traded to be Rick Schroder too. The stardom level of some of these star characters was off the charts...hope they appreciated it!

I was going to point out the wrong photo for Newhart but others have already got there. A great presentation, thank you. I was disappointed that you didn't show Mary Tyler Moore show titled " Mary ". It only managed one series but I loved the theme tune on it. I think Mary was trying to gain the popularity of her original show.

I love "Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now" from Perfect Strangers, one of my all-time favorite theme songs.

I'm a 90's kid, but re-runs are very much a part of my childhood and I remember a lot of these!

Man, I was stumped on a few of these. All were super popular, but my family didn’t watch them all, so there were a few that I didn’t get. I do recall whenever I heard the Hill Street Blues theme that meant that I had one hour until bedtime. It came on at 9:00 on my time zone and my bedtime was 10:00.

This just reminds me of a simpler time when we could be carefree. I miss hearing the theme show of your favorite show letting you know you only had a minute to get situated and ready for the show.

I grew up in the mid 90s early 2000s and all these shows still came on lol thank god for nick at nite when they played the old shows not just friends

This gives me a warm fuzzy feeling bringing back some old memories, but damn I must have watched a lot of TV as a kid as I remember watching almost every single one of those shows!

Hearing the theme song to Taxi gave me a very strange, somehow empty, anxious feeling. I was only about 4 years old when I remember it coming on the TV late at night. Probably one of my earliest TV memories along with Benson and Mork and Mindy.

I'm in my feelings, right now. ...what a great time to grow up in front of the TV. Thee best orchestrations EVER!

I am delighted to recall the timeless classic TV shows and themes from the 80s. It was truly a golden era, characterized by straightforward and comprehensible content. Everyone focused on their own affairs, and the overall atmosphere was far less chaotic than what we experience in the present day, where people often seek attention.

Some of these are from so far back, like 1979 far back and they give me that cool reminiscent feeling through & through. The 80's were such a good decade as I fondly remember growing up I was 6 in 1980 so it was a perfect time to be a kid in my opinion, I had the entire decade that I understood and played hard. It was such a pivotal time. A lot of new greatness in people began during this decade. The emotions these songs trigger are fascinating to feel all over again. This is something to watch & listen to with your closest friends, or family and a couple 🍸 If your reading this, I hope you are blessed.

My mother died of Cancer in 96 at the Age of 37. Some of my Best Memories is staying up with her late at Night to Watch Reruns of 50s-80s shows. Still means alot to me, Very Grateful 🙏 to all these amazing Intros and Classic Shows
