Nr4 is used in paquita but in origin it is from le pavillon d'Armide by Tcherepnin. Just discovered your channel, i love it ❤

Merci pour vos quiz. 😊 Le carnaval des animaux n'est pas un ballet à l'origine. Seul "Le cygne" a été dansé par Anna Pavlova du vivant de Camille Saint-Saëns, sous le titre "La mort du cygne". Le compositeur n'a apparemment pas apprécié cette prestation. L'extrait de votre quiz s'intitule "Aquarium". Le Carnaval des animaux à peut être fait l'objet, dans son intégralité et après la mort du compositeur, d'un ballet. Vous avez peut-être des précisions en la matière ?

Merci beaucoup pour votre commentaire, je ne connaissais pas grand chose sur ce sujet, mais j'ai pu lire quelques articles. Effectivement Saint-Saëns ne voulait pas que son œuvre soit joué pendant qu'il était vivant. En 2003, Wheeldon, chorégraphe du New York City Ballet, a créé le ballet "Carnival of the Animals" avec les 14 parties de la musique de Saint-Saëns

Well, sadly I must admit that i did not do as well as I had expected. However,I qualified for "Pavlova, Award of Wisdom" 😁 so, I'm content to be in the Good company of Pavlova!! ( Nadezhda or Anna, they're both Ballet Legends! )🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

This was a fun quiz, but it was kind of annoying to have to constantly be adjusting the volume. Could you please try to make the volume a bit more even in the future? Thanks!

@@BalletQuiz It's also possible that it was just a "first video" thing. I've now done your Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Don Q quizzes also, and those didn't have that issue. So maybe you already figured out how to fix it. :)

I tried this one and I turned out rather bad....(I only felt safe with Tchaikovsky, Delibes (Coppelia), Stravinsky (Cinderella) and Prokofiev...and Le Corsaire). I definitely need to expand my musical knowledge of the other ones....(; It's hard without pictures ..were they famous pieces? I didn't know that the full Carnival of animals counts as ballet music...

I'm glad this motivated you to learn some more! That's one of the reasons I make those, to expand my knowledge, and, hopefully, that of other people who love ballet. For the carnival of the animals, I don't blame you at all. It has only been choreographed recently (2003) with Saint-Saëns' full music.

@@BalletQuizwhat I feel would be a way to improve it , for my taste, is that you perhaps only use music at first, and then as second help show then a picture. And perhaps it’s also better to use for iconic ballets, like Tchaikovsky‘s ones, rather less known pieces and for less known ballets more iconic pieces.

@@felicity1877 On the contrary I appreciated the more obscure ballets. But perhaps it might be nice to have labels as "easier" quizzes to have the more iconic ballets and "harder" quizzes which have the hidden gems.
