It's actually shown in the movie - he tries to get on and it starts to tip and he knows it cant sustain both of them. Years later people still watch it and dont realise what happened even though it was right in fromt of them.

I don't see how when the expression on Jack's face after attempting to get on the door himself. I mean it's easy to see that he knew it wouldn't work. I picked up on that the first damn time I seen the movie. Even if myth busters hadn't proved it impossible it was pretty much proven from the get go just by that expression alone. I mean you can't miss it coz it's literally written all over his face soon once he sees that he wasn't able to get on

When will people actually watch the movie - In Titanic he tries to get on and it immediately starts to tip over. The debris literally is wide enough to hold them but not buoyant enough to hold them. Thats not a theory it's actually shown in the film. I dont understand how people can watch it over and over again and not see him realise that.

The log scene is the most famous death scene out of the whole FD series! I swear the ppl that are weary about trucks that hold logs have seen this movie.

I'm weary of any kind of truck of that size carrying any type of construction materials because of that scene, to the point of hyperventilating if we're driving behind one 😰 Especially since I've become aware of real instances where that happened like the poor woman who had her skull crushed by a brick that flew outta of a truck 😢

If you watch the movie they both go to get on the door and then it starts to sink and then jack tells rse to get on it,rose starts to argue with him and then he says do you want us both to die?

I got Titanic immediately!! Also, Rose didn’t “let” Jack sink….the others were floating because they had life jackets on. And idk why I get annoyed when people say he could have fit on that door with her; he TRIED when she first got on and it nearly capsized so he didn’t. It’s called buoyancy; too much weight. Plus James Cameron said he needed to die 😅

@@dhf161 Not really. Rose is barely conscious as is - she goes back into that water and she's not getting back out. There are literally bodies with life jackets all around them that bare that out. The only option that could have worked was Jack abandoning Rose and trying to make it to another bit of debris before he freezes to death and hoping it will sustain his weight. Remote chance at best but thats literally the only way both could have survived.

This is my pet peeve. In the theatrical release I saw in 1997, Rose tried to get Jack onto the door, and it kept throwing them off it. And Jack being the practical guy he was, told her to stay put and he would float next to her

Why does no one seem to remember that when Jack tried climbing onto the door, the door almost flipped. That's how she was alone on it. Granted, I think they should've tried a few more times at different angles, but HE DID TRY TO CLIMB ON.

They tried one half-assed attempt to both get on the door and it tipped over. Jack should have gotten on first and leaned to the opposite side to act as a counterweight to pull her up. Or, if the buoyancy thing is true (a point I heavily doubt), at the very least go to the opposite side to pull each other up so at least both their upper bodies are out of the water.

They proved on myth busters that if jack had tried to get on to the door with rose that the door would have sank a little and then flipped, leaving both Jack and rose in the ocean, and in the movie you can see Jack does try to get on the door too but when it started to sink he chose to drop back off into the water to keep rose from ending up back in the water

@@SweenyTodd98 luckily it was just a story. Although the story of how the Titanic hit a iceberg and sank and the musicians played while the ship sank is true and Molly Brown existed. Rose existed. However there was a man called Joseph Dawson that worked in the part of the ship where they threw coal in the thing that made the ship sailing. I can't remember what that thing is called. He and Rose never met. That is all I know. I've read it in a magazine and I saw a documentary on here too.

@@Iamone1111 Actually sort of the opposite. To do it you have to tie a life jacket under the door to make it more buoyant. How an injured man is supposed to get that life jacket off a body, swim under said door and successfully tie it on in almost total darkness in freezing conditions and then somehow have the energy to scramble on in the time before he becomes incapacitated is the issue. Just the door itself - it pretty much tips over every time. He tries to get on in the film and it tips straight away. Another set of quotes. Winslet knows a bit about water, saying she spends a lot of time paddle boarding, surfing (board, kite and wind), scuba diving and cold water swimming. And if you put two adults on a stand-up paddleboard, she says, it becomes "immediately extremely unstable." "I have to be honest, right," she said. "I actually don't believe that we would have survived if we had both gotten on that door. I think he could have fit but it would have tipped and it would not have been a sustainable idea."

I took a break for a while, recuperating from surgery, and I have a lot of videos to catch up with. 2 weeks may not sound like a much but y'all upload a lot. Lol Gonna take awhile. Only so many hours in a day and physical therapy and home exercises take up alot of time. My surgery went fantastic by the way. Still some pain but improving every day.
