In this video we continue to enjoy our family vacations and we also start cooking more Argentine food: a rich picada with Argentine wines and Neapolitan milanesa (with tomato sauce, ham and cheese).
We had already filmed a video where we prepared milanesas at home, but in that video, we bought the meat already filleted. This time we bought a cut called a 'round' from where we prepared the milanesas. It was a slightly longer process, but everything came out very rich, flavorful and tasty.
Before putting the Neapolitan milanesas in the oven, we stopped to eat a delicious Argentine picada with homemade bread, butter, smoked cheese, mortadella, cooked ham and bondiola. We paired it with a red wine and a sparkling wine.
We also continue the tradition where my father shares some stories of his childhood in Argentina. This time he tells us about his adventures in the Sierras Grandes de Córdoba, and what it was like to live in the countryside in the '50s and' 60s.
