Man that servo clock is sweet. I am going to look through your channel hoping that you made a video. If not that would have been a great one. Cool video because I am considering getting one. Now after the video I will have to get one.

What about accuracy? Can you measure the temperature of your body and compare with medical thermometer?

it has really high res. I like that you can adjust contrast manually to be more sensitive too

It is more adjustable than what I demonstrated. The temperature range being displayed is also adjustable. Really just a matter of becoming accustomed to the camera and then adjusting it for whatever the particular subject is.

To solve your audio recording issue go to the pull down menu and find the setting for screen record. While the app is open and ready to go hit the screen record feature and it will ask if you want to record audio or not to record audio . Select yes and there ya go it will do both onbthebsame device with Olay back including your audio. Give it a shot I bet you will be happy with it .

Took me a while to wake up to what you were telling me… I am not that familiar with smartphones. :-) I went to TOOLS > SCREEN RECORDER > SOUND SOURCE > MIC (ON) Then, I ended up with two (2) recordings… one from the MobIR Camera (with no audio) and then one from the screenshot recording with the audio. Could this be used for building during a bat survey??

I have no experience with bat surveys. There is no zoom with the infrared camera. It is point and shoot. To make the image larger you need to move the camera closer. If you can get close enough to pick up a bat image or cluster of bats, at suitable image size on you smart phone, it would certainly work. If there is any background heat source (like a hot wall) that could interfere with the image. Bats I have seen usually group together in a tree, cave or under the overhang of a roof and that would certainly show up (again if you can get close enough to the bats). Hope that helps.

I think at this price I'd be looking at the Ulefone Armor 9 thermal imaging smartphone.

But the Ulefone is almost twice the price and I already have the smartphone. I agree with Ronald that this is a very useful tool.
