What a great video! I wouldn't think any of your videos would surpass your Baja trip, but this video is exceptional. Between he amazing diversity of rock star birds and your excellent editing and music choice, I felt like I was there in Kauai. You definitely put your time in on this one.

Thanks Steve! I appreciate you watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I agree that the Baja video was right up there with this one.

Very fun video, just having just been to Kilauea Point in January while on a cruise, I want to reinforce those memories. We were able to see most of our target birds even though we had limited time in each port. My favorite at the Lighthouse was the albatross flying over us at the point. It's seared in my mind! It's great you label when each species was introduced to Hawaii and from where. So few endemics, but some of the intros like the Red-crested Cardinal (or the Yellow-billed Cardinal on the Big Island) are really beautiful. I agree with you about the Japanese White-eye being a beautiful and interesting bird.

Great video! I'm really concerned about how many of the honeycreeper species are going to be extinct in just the next decade or two.

Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yes it's sad how many have already become extinct.

This is such a great video! I so badly want to see red footed boobies. Is there specific place where you can see these? Also what time of year do you recommend for biridng?

Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Kilauea Point is the best place to see the Red-footed Boobies, but I think there are other spots to see them. I went in February, but I think they are there year-round.
