It's a short hike, but very steep for most of the Hayden Butte Trail-the paved surface makes it a little easier. There's so much to see in all directions: Downtown Tempe, Tempe Town Lake, Papago Park, Camelback Mountain, South Mountain and a constant parade of planes flying into Sky Harbor International Airport.
