Now it's a fetid marsh due to the nonfunctional river lock and the failure of riverside floodwalls, infested by feral ghouls. This combination has driven off all but the most inquisitive or reckless scavengers. The dam is home to a small scavenger camp, where transients occasionally stop for the night.

Greetings! Sheila sounds like a ghoul to me too. Solomon's quest is one of my favorites, as it is focused on something other than just anihillating the residents of a specific location; and for those who are attracted to "violence", you'll get your jollies chewing through all of the ghouls as you locate and harvest the ferns, as well as satisfying your lust for loot along the way. ;) The outdoor dungeon maze is a breath of fresh air after crawling through X number of dark buildings. 😅 Hank U Mr. Thomas, for the excellently thorough tour of the Forest Grove Marsh area, including the dam!
