A leaf on a tree eventually becomes motionless when there is no wind. Like the leaf, the nature of the mind is to be still. But just as the leaf is blown by the wind, we stir up our mind with our wanting and thinking. During meditation, Ajahn Brahm encourages us to let go, let things be and observe our mind become peaceful.
