I must say that I didn't really know what the changes to stun edge did. Being able to do that is gonna give so much better reward from getting a CH.2HS against an airial opponent

F.s is 10 frames, down from 12 2S is 11 frames, up from 10 5H is 12 frames, down from 15 Stun Dipper is 7 frames, up from 5, and is now -14, up from -10. Don't know when H Vapor Thrust's invul kicks in. Personally don't like the nerfs he got. Fine with all the damage scaling aside from RTL because that super did no damage before, and it now is invalid as a wall ender because of Sacred Edge. It still wall breaks from far away, but RC and WA kinda render that moot. 2S getting hit was just weird. They said they nerfed SS Stun Dipper recovery because it was making harder to punish, but that's literally how they designed it. It was a niche use, but it was one. Now Shock State is useless for Stun Dipper. H DP losing invul also hurts Shock State because you could gamble on Shocked opponents with it in minus or RC situations and convert. Now you can't in a lot of scenarios. You also lose wake up H DP combos in Shock State which is hilarious since DI H DP is like a defining feature of DI. I get the DP stuff was universal, but Ky's H DP properties were conditional, meanwhile Leo and Sol's were not. His kit was designed and balanced around H DP. To be fair, Leo's was too, but getting his win con off a massive DP was nuts. Neutral is better and WA is great for Ky, but Shock State has been wack since day 1 and is now worse, on top of DI taking a stray with the DP changes. At the very least DI DP should stay frame 1 invul.

i didn't know the frames until now.... but i sent my friends a pretty similar wall of text.... ky's dp wasn't even that good to begin with he has the worst one so lets make it worst because lol

He gets another indirect nerf since they’re pushing for S DP to be what people use, but his S DP is slower than literally every single one. On paper this patch overall feels like a nerf rather than a buff. I don’t think they know what they want to do with Ky tbh.

@rongill1234 I'd argue out of the H DP's Leo's was the best, followed by Ky, and then Sol. Sol's was purely a combo tool, meanwhile Ky could stick his in places that would give him a combo if he had SS on the opponent. Nothing needs to be said about Leo's. Getting stuck with S Vapor Thrust sucks tho. Range is so much worse and Shock State does nothing for it. AND it's still slower than the rest.

@jonathanalgarroba7197 in general sols being purely a combo tool kinda goes with what I'm saying sol didn't get a nerf Leo did but his shit was mentally challenged dumb ky had to have layers on top of certain situations to give him anything and like u said s dp is ass... playing against my friends sol yesterday just made me realize how trash ky s dp is compared to sols lol

Honestly, after taking Ky into some matches, the changes for stun dipper don't even seem much impactful, if I can be honest. It feels like these change are simbolic and trying to condition people to stop using SD in neutral

The training mode seems terrible compared to something like street fighter 6. But I'm still strongly considering picking it up again. I only played a little on launch and this patch seems great.

@EricVel11037 bad players project on to Ky a tad too much. When the best of the best Churara / Dany etc are saying hes high teir to S tier. Its not Ky, its you. Youre losing, not Ky.
