Yeah, personally I think its the mumbly vocals that is underselling in this song. The 'weirdness' of the instrumentals is personally something I like cuz I listen to prog metal/rock, but if the vocals were much better I bet it would be more easily well-received.

I think I like a lot about alot of Strive's songs are that other songs normally, use the name of the song as a lyric often in the song. Strive changes that with some of it's songs like Let Me Carve your Way or this song where it literally only said at the end. It helps to make the song less predictable. It's small, but the little things are what make things distinct.

I think “All things as they are” makes more sense for the beginning chant, since it’s said later in the song, and the chorus’ line “Beyond Hope” sounds more like “Beyond [it] all”, I especially can’t hear the backing vocals saying “hope”. I think it’s referring to Sol, since the previous line clearly does, and it’s conveying how Asuka feels about their relationship. Asuka’s ruined everything, but he still wants to be the friend he once was.

My interpretation is that the song is displaying Asuka trying to comprehend his old teacher, Happy Chaos. It talks about the nature of existence, its meaning and learning to accept it as it is. It talks about the universe turning black and humanity's love embracing the darkness of the universe. It talks about living life happily and questions humanity's need for validation through finding ways to give existence itself meaning, asking if our search for meaning itself has any meaning at all. As such we see Asuka in a new light, one which has learned to understand his master a bit better, because he now understands the impact our emotions can have on us even if they do not mean much in the grand scheme of things. Gravity and the past has all the answers to the questions inside our hearts, yet we do not even comprehend what those questions are nor what they mean. Still, there is nothing wrong with that.
