I miss this design style of select screen, versus screen and gameplay hud in older GG games. These early ambitious games really elevated that art to a new level, in a time (00s) when veteran fg companies were already looking tired and less careful about these details.

Yeah . I would even say that Xrd softens already the whole personality of guilty gear overall . I prefer the intros and soundtracks of the first guilty gear and X2 #reload much more than the rest . Accent Core is great on its own but the depiction of the world of guilty gear stays for me as that heavy metal world which people try to regain normalcy and peace in those lands but its still rather apocalyptoc and really rough and twisted lands there that isnt easy to explain with that much untold mystery behind it . Strive is the equivalent of making heavy metal mainstream . It doesnt work and it ends up being a bad and safe imitation .

man this game marks the end of a golden era of guilty gear reload and ac just had a better, old school vibe, more of that unique guilty gear style, even the ost was just all bangers, you loved every single theme, and that just doesn't happen with newer games, sadly last but not least, there were no woke and trans agenda in the oldies, now the series is corrupted by twitter and is dead for me
