Mamadi Doumbouya, President of the National Committee for the Reconciliation and Development, President of the Republic of Guinea, Head of State, addresses the general debate of the 78th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (New York, 19 - 26 September 2023).

The UN General Assembly (UNGA) is the main policy-making organ of the Organization. Comprising all Member States, it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of the full spectrum of international issues covered by the Charter of the United Nations. Each of the 193 Member States of the United Nations has an equal vote.
The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945. Currently made up of 193 Member States, the UN and its work are guided by the purposes and principles contained in its founding Charter.
The UN has evolved over the years to keep pace with a rapidly changing world.
But one thing has stayed the same: it remains the one place on Earth where all the world’s nations can gather together, discuss common problems, and find shared solutions that benefit all of humanity.

He did and as the Youth of Africa, we are behind this new crop of leadership arising from Africa. We pledge our blood to defend our motherland from Cape to Cairo. The puppets of the West must be overthrown in all of Africa. One Army must be formed to defend the whole of Africa from the devils of the Western world. I know the Western world will never stop wanting to 'colonize' people of the world. They will try everything in their power to continue plundering our resources. There's nothing good about those people. They have never been human and they never will. Daily, you hear them talking on both sides of their mouth...deceiving, lying, stealing and killing people of the world for no reason other than greed.

Brilliant speech ❤. Words spoken from the heart. Towards Pan-Africanism, we should adopt a language that unifies and unites us. We can reserve French, English, Portuguese, Dutch and Arabic etc for international relations. Let us adopt SWAHILI as our Africa language. It is easy to speak and write and can be easily taught across our 54 States. Already, States in South, East and Central Africa are speaking it. This is food for thought that should be given serious consideration moving forward. With love from Nigeria 🇳🇬.

I’d say it would be more plausible to have Swahili as a language that unites East Africa (excluding the Horn) and Hausa for West Africa…… both languages are the most influential in their respective regions by far.

Whats the point? I mean english is agreed as the worldwide language so there's no reason to make regional changes, it's like as if Europe said let's all speak German but to outsiders we'll speak in English... Not sure how you mean it but the way I understand it it doesn't make sense because people from let's say Angola would have to learn English for world wide communication, swahili for Africa wide communication, portuguese for Angola & co and their regional kimbundu/umbundu etc so it's just adding another language that isn't needed imo

In English, the world is called the globe. All kids in Japan and South Korea now learn English from elementary school. You want all 54 countries people able to travel worldwide and communicate with other countries, including Asian countries. It is still possible to have a standard language, but you must learn English.
