I think it’s well worth the money. It’s is quite gimmicky, but as a lover of Guinness it’s the best way to drink it at home hands down

After drinking beer 20+years I opt out now for guinness.There is something special about it .

Guinness is an acquired taste but after drinking lager, cider etc. I have decided that Guinness is my favourite drink. It has lots of flavonoids which are anti-cancer, anti virial, anti inflammatory, high in soluble fibre. Just drink in moderation please. I love Guinness!

Hi Paul this device came out here in NI just over a year ago and still seems to be popular. The cans are currently £12 for 6 in Tesco - So a bit more pricey but they are indeed very tasty and nicer than the regular draught cans. Works for me! Cheers 🍺

I can tell a BIG difference when using the nitro surge. But I haven’t tried the nitro surge with a normal pour from the can and not on the device (mostly because they’re too expensive to waste😂) so I’m wondering if it’s a tactic to change the recipe over time without people noticing. Maybe the device actually doesn’t do much 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

I've got it and got to say that's the best review I've seen. So many botched efforts finally one done right. And agree with everything you say.

You know, it's weird. I don't know about the U.S and other countries, but here in Canada you can get two kinds of Guinness. You can get the Original, that's brewed in Ireland (which is my personal favorite) or, you can get the Guinness that is brewed by the John Labatt brewing Co. There is definitely a taste 🥴 and quality ⬇️ difference.

After seeing a few butcher jobs it's nice to see you do the device justice on the review. Allways have a few cans in the fridge for mine and even 2 quid a can (come in 6pk for 12 here) it's really hard to beat. It's all about the pouring technique. 2 pointers for you:have you can a bit colder and you'll use closer to whats in the can and you need to turn the device back on for the 2nd pour. Good review mate ☘️👌

Yeh I think it's great but you can use the draught guiness if you just knock a pin in the top and release the gas but don't break the widget seal.cheaper aswell 😊

Could/Would you do a video mate of CHEAP lagers that are actually decent ie if its the week before payday and your a bit short pop to Wetherspoons and have a Worthingtons Cremaflow - maybe review that as well?

It's €5.50 a pint in any pub in ireland. Have one of those cans with the tap. Your pint is now €2.30. Massive saving for a pint without the hassle of travel

I found it very good, did a great job. Chill the can for at least 24 hours recommended and enjoy. Price is a turn off, but I seen it as an investment and a once in a blue moon usage. Or if I have family or friends over from abroad here in Ireland I can treat them to a nice pint with dinner if they so desire. All in all as you said it does make a fantastic pint of Guinness.

If you have a nitro surger but don’t wanna pay 8 pound a 4 pack. Gently break the seal with a sewing needle on a stout can and wait for the gas to release then clip on the NitroSurger, just as good as the proper cans

I saw a video in which you can use normal cans using a pin and releasing the gas.

I tried the nitro surge for a few weeks but went back to the normal draught cans as I think the extra cost of the cans is not worth it.

Hi Paul, I’ve been thinking about getting one of those gadgets but I don’t see why the cans should cost more 🤔 I assume that the nitro surge cans do not have a widget so they should be cheaper rather than more expensive ?? Have you tried using that gadget with a can of draught Guinness, I wonder what it would be like 🤔 Maybe you could do a video and let us know 👍

It works out as £7 for five 440mls in this size. Most ppl don't get the 568ml of liquid so it's the same price as the 440s

what happens if you run Guinness original extra stout through it?

What Stouts do you recommend if i love Guinness, ive tried a few now but there all just sickly strong and i dont enjoy them, i just find myself switching to Foreign Extra Stout etc lol

Here in Canada, 4 cans of 440 ml Guinness is $18 CDN or 11 GBP. All the more reason to enjoy your Guinness no matter the packaging.

The trick that i picked up from the official GUINEYE video was that you don't switcher the nitrosurge back on when pouring the cream.

You did what I keep doing- you didnt turn the device back on for the second part of the pour- it turns itself off. On the full pint glasses it makes the head a little too small.

Annoying that they only sale in 6 PAC with the price of $26 NZD which you pretty much could get a 12 pac for that much, a few dollars more and you could get yourself a 24 pac of beer 😂

With having ADHD and sometimes meds dont go well with it - I'd love Guinness to unveil the Zero % Nitrosurge. Also btw after some bloke came in my local with a posh accent and out of nowhere in a packed bar (my mate was behind the bar so we always call it this from now on) said CAN I HAVE A GUINN-EYE? In a posh voice.........yeah ever since because of that absolute hero we call it a Guinn-Eye. But if they made a Zero% of this as well as the regular one for when I'm not taking ADHD meds - cool.

How many times can you use that gadget does it need charging?

Guiness is just 4.1% now? wow, didn't it used to be 5%? Most beers lose something when the ABV drops that much. Also, it seems hit and miss when you buy a pint on the pub, i've had some real bad pints on this and gone right off of it. Personally think there are much better other stouts these days. If as you say it even is a stout. Question about the special cans, what's different about them compared with the usual cans? Maybe you can swill it out and refill it with the cheaper standard cans so you can use the surge device on them.

Mate just hack it if you just get a pin 📍 and put it at the top of the can let the gas out it will work on any widget can beer loads of videos on KZfaq showing you how to do it your mate Paul dose the video on it

You don't need to use nitro surge cans because you can take a widget can carefully pearce it with a tin opener at top of opposite side of the ring pull to let the air out slow without activating the widget then pop your device on can and bobs your uncle 😊

See now all we need is a smaller, taller version of this thing for the bottles.
