Will never forget the irony of Muldoon kicking the ball straight out from a penalty in the same spot where he convinced the referee that there must be a lineout from a penalty kicked to touch in overtime.

Why did they try and charge down the kick? That was just strange.

Fine Nane id say in the moment they felt slightly insulted. It was in the heat of battle and I think Blade sold Healy that dummy for the try so he was fronting up after that error. It was weird but Id say Muldoon recognised the fight in them and the pride, having seen some bad results himself over the years. A legend of a man, enjoy retirement

Stephen Neill in the heat of battle? 7 tries against 1, where is that battle now

I can only imagine how driven a pro rugby player is, and I'm guessing it's precisely because you concede 7 tries that you are driven to minimise the damage. And any time you are on the pitch you are in battle. You dont think about the bigger picture, you just dont. I think the guys charging down the kick prompted Muldoons apology after the game because he got that, given how competitive and tenacious he was. Respect to the man, one of the greats. (and nice kick!)

Dis Dog tbf it's kinda disrespectful to both sides, disrespectful to Muldoon and disrespectful towards the Leinster team letting him take it

As a Leinster fan Muldoon earned it, if you dont want him taking the kick then stop them scoring. Leinster couldn't do anything that day. He's been a fantastic servant to Connacht rugby.

It's a disgrace rubbing salt into the wound by letting Muldoon take the conversion last game or not

Ronan G exactly my point haha at least someone gets it

EMB 2017 yes Muldoon is a great player but the point your making makes zero sense. It's the principle of it, its blatant showboating at it's finest.

isn't Leinster supposed to be the best team in Ireland??
