GH World Tour Drum Set - The first and not the best kit to use. GH Warriors of Rock - The second and most recommended kit to have. I have the GHWT drum set. Everything he said about the old set was right, I find it very annoying when my drum pedal keeps running away from me even when I have applied a new grip tape to it (my honest rating for the my own drum of GHWT is 5/10). Seeing the GHWoR drum kit, they've basically fixed everything that was wrong/missing from the first kit. Great video.

@GodOfWarWalkthroughs RB drums work on GH, and GH drums work on RB. Since GH drums have an extra strike zone, you simply don't use that pad when you play RB with a GH kit. If GH software detects an RB kit, it automatically downshifts and only gives you as many lanes as you have pads. So either way, you can play without any issues.

One of the reasons I didn't like Guitar Hero 4 was because of their old drum kit (which I thought was absolutely atrocious) but when I got the Warriors of Rock kit,I was pleasantly surprised at how much better the kit is than it's predecessor.

@Virus2020 Yes, your RB2 drums will work in WoR. You will only get four lanes instead of five lanes when you play drums, but they will absolutely work. Guitars are compatible as well.

@emiliongo007 The Wii drums are already here -- if you have the Band Hero kit, it's these drums. But this design of the 360 and PS3 drums are new to North American gamers, so that's why I am showing 360 drums -- of the two platforms, they were the first I could put my hands on.

@legendben3 Yes, the GH drums work with RB games, and vice versa for that matter. So if you want to buy these drums and use them with all the other music games too, you can.

@sciamaaj The Wii Band Hero drums are the same design as the drums I'm showing in this video. The drum bundle will come with the standard (GH5 style) guitar. I don't know if the drums will be sold on their own; I've got a call in to ask if, then when, then how much.

@popslittleman2000 Yes, no problem. Guitars, mics, and drums all work on the other franchise, whether you are using RB gear to play GH or GH gear to play RB.

@TheDeadPlayers Smaller in terms of storage. The strike zones are the same size, actually -- they are just spaced a bit closer together.

They are a fantastic set, I've had them for a good few months now after finally picking up the Band Hero super bundle. I never knew that you could loosen the cymbal pads though, maybe I'll try that...

@erwinees Yes, it's the same kit -- but the BH drums did not come out in the US for 360 or PS3, and I am making this video from the US.

My World Tour kit has been having some pretty major crosstalk problems recently (the blue triggers the red pretty much every other time I hit it and the yellow also triggers the red infrequently) after almost three years so I think I'm going to get one of these soon. The drumstick holder looks pretty awesome, not least because I broke one of the "stick shelves" (as I call them) and it fell inside. It's still there, I think.

@ExtremeDewy Yes, but this design has not been available for PS3 or 360 in North America. For all the complaints I hear from UK gamers saying US folks get everything first, they've really had the lead on this one!

Now this new drum kit does sound amazing really. The cymbals look great. the pedal is stuck, i hate that the world tour kit pedal isn't stuck, and has a very good new design.... The whole drum sounds perfect.

@IIIhittmanIII Right now the only way to get the drums is in the super bundle -- guitar, drums, mic, and game. If that changes I'll let everybody know on my site.

@brandonlikespen The drum set design is not new but this drum set was only for the Wii. Now it is for PS3 ad Xbox 360 so yes it isn't original concept but no, this hasn't yet been released for PS3 and Xbox 360.

@Swarm1000 1) Like RB's, it's a plastic pedal with a metal plate. 2) I play very hard out of bad habit/playing real drums, but the responsiveness is much better than the WT kit (to me anyway). 3) Because that's the way they did it.

Thanks for the instrument reviews! I want this game really bad, I was considering buying the Power Gig until I found out it was 230 dollars or so with everything, and thats a bit too much for me. I haven't even played a Guitar Hero game since the 3rd one and I am really looking forward to it! :D

@YoTengoTomatoes You can use either RB or GH kits in either game.

@pimkingetje This is, of course, a simulation of playing drums in a game context, and not a professional drum kit. Game steering wheels are not full sized, and airplanes are generally not controlled with two thumbsticks. If you want to bring your own pro-style MIDI drum kit and all the adjustments that come with it, that's what the MIDI jacks are for.

@OneOfSwords Fair enough, I did have a quick play on the BH kit on a GH5 setup in the new Best Buy stores in England. It played pretty well, especially rebound wise. I already have 2 WT kits, however, and can't really justify upgrading, given I now have an Ion kit.

Nice hands-on mate, I never knew that you could loosen the cymbal pads; I'll have to try that. Doesn't hurt that you are kinda cute too. Would love to play a game or two with you if it weren't for the massive ocean separating us.

@Donnner93 It has MDI out according to him so that means the same MIDI signals that are sent by your electronic drums to your computer can also be sent by this kit to your computer. I'm assuming there will have to be an update for it but it will come quickly I'm guessing agina.

@CJohn364 So do I. No one is understanding, I play MIRROR. I roll from high to low from center out. I've done this before; Open your kit and unplug the red and blue toms. Swap the wire inputs and play like so. You will find that if you could have the game like this that it would be 130% better than standard. Not even switching the cymbals, but bringing the crash/ride closer to the snare and putting the blue pad to the left instead of the center.

the picture for this video was the two kits next to each other, but they looked combined...

I'm really not having any luck with the new drum kit...I don't know what exactly the issue is, I don't know whether it's that something's not plugged in or what, but this is the second kit that hasn't worked for me. The best I can do to describe the problem, is that if I hit one drum/cymbal, it'll trigger the sensors on one or more of the other drums/cymbals. From personal experience, I'd say that the original drum kit is much better...only because I've never had this one work for me.

@KarioDudeRBN We are entering the third year. GH WoR is the third game/2010 is the third year that a GH game will support MIDI instrument input via the drums. Sorry I misspoke slightly but I think most people understood my logic.

@CCBlackhawk I already plan on getting an Alesis I/O and some VST software. But if you think about it, unless you're facing the kit directly, the red pad technically ~is~ inbetween your legs. But like I said, I play a mirror kit, so having the green pad way the hell off to the right is so uncomfortable. And I know there are work-around's with real kits, but that's not the point I'm trying to make. Red Octane should take more than one kit style into consideration as a controller.

@OneOfSwords i have a question, Im thinking about buying this new drum set, but i'm concerned about the yellow and orange drum pads. Because with my old drum set from ghwt i had the problem that after a month orso the pads were not recording my hits properly. It sometimes doesn't record anything, and sometimes thinks i'm hitting three times when i only hit it one time. My question, Do the yellow and orange drum pads stay in better quality with this drum pads??? Sorry for my English btw.

@OokamiDoragon When you say "mirror" I assume you are talking about matched grip. I play that way, also. I've always found that setting the kit at a 45* angle to my right more comfy. Even with the new RB3 Pro Kit, I do the same and my real kit is also configured in a similar manner. I guess you could say I roll from left to right. LOL.

@jamelaxd you can but no Pro Mode and one of the cymbals goes unused. IMO you're better off getting something like an ION kit if you are planning on playing a lot.

i have little problem with WoR Drums. When i hit it it makes pretty loud wooden sound(red blu and green only). I only played World Tour drums b4. Any Tips? Or maybe its ok?

This new drumset is really good, totally much better than the other one! But actually, I do go those new drums, but they're not that really new, because as some of you say, its the same drumset from Band Hero (which is correct) but also, when I bought the whole Super Bundle Set for Guitar Hero 5, It then included the Guitar (with the white and red colors), the mic and the game it self of course, aaand, this drumset with the same kick pedal and all! But! On the drumsticks it also said: Band Hero!

I have a question that I'd really like an answer for. My red pad is broken. It broke on my old one and it broke on my newest one which is the newer looking model. I want to know if the GoodWoodMods work with the second gen models. I kinda feel like they wont but it would be nice if they would.
