That might be the best sounding acoustic i've heard on GOTD. And the playing is excellent. Also trying to figure out how Todd grew the Sgt Pepper hair and the 'stache in, like, three days. He must have one of those buttons in his back like the old barbie dolls my sister had

Hey- my 2015 D-18 is amazing! I'll shout it to the mountains that Martin is making the best guitars ever in their history... NOW. The 2012 and later D-18s are more tradish... Fwd shifted, scalloped bracing, ebony board and bridge, open gear Grovers... the bracing makes such a HUGE diff! Straight braced D-18s just sound stiff. Even old ones. Imo of course

Yea the bracing is a thousand times better now but you cant have that aged wood on a new guitar. They sound great today but a forties Martin is unmatched.

I own a martin guitar, and i always wonder how do people get this kind of wear on their acoustics I can play hard sometimes and even when i do that i dont hit the wood that way I mean the arm rest i can get but above the sound hole this is a whole new level

Luv to hear Todd play that hillbilly shitkicker music , and on a 43' D18 , that is the shit , they don't get much better than the oldie Martins , it just looks like it would be super easy and comfortable to play , great sound , kinda tinny twangy with a huge boom , perfect for pickin and grinin , that guitar has still hundreds of unwritten songs in it , well done Todd , thanks guys.
