I guess not many people know that Glen played on some of Willie's 60s albums. Here they are, recreating a song they recorded earlier, only better, in a May 1970 episode of The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour.

I spent some time with him in 1976, just me and him, helped him for three days at a hotel I worked at. Really nice guy, down to earth, and generous with his money.

Glen Campbell could shred a guitar before the term even existed. Guitarist for the Iconic Wrecking Crew. Now that's an accomplishment!

Thats the earliest video/pictures I've ever seen of Trigger Jr. Still looks pristine since Willie had only had him a few months at that time.

In 1970 he'd only had Trigger one year ... no hole in the soundboard yet .

I worked for a sound company out of Atlanta,..we were hired to provide sound for a country music festival in Myrtle Beach, SC. Our crew had the pleasure of working with Glen and I have to say, out of about 40 acts on the bill, Glen was very, very professional and pleasant. I had breakfast with Willie in Bowling Green, KY. Also a prince of a gentleman.

I believe that’s the guitar that broke when a drunk stepped on it then willie got another which didn’t play the the one that he is using now so he took the bridge off and put on new one and that was when trigger was born

Me too! Everyone had to be quiet because I would set a mic and cassette machine in front of the TV and record it every week.

@@GlenCampbellForums As a kid ,I was a Smothers Brothers fan and I remember Glen replaced them for one summer . Another summer , I think , was Steve Martin . He was so funny , with his banjo . Then , he popped up a few years later , a big star .

God, that Ovation nylon string sounds like 6 rubber bands being plucked. Nice playing, horrible guitar. I hope they paid him well!
