I think as successful as Glen was, he never reached the true heights he could have.. I think he had a better voice than Elvis and was even more musically talented.. damn that alcohol

This was the America I grew up with. The America of hope, prosperity, the possibility of a great future. We need to find our way back to this. Republican, Democrat, Jew, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Mexican, Russian, African, Middle Eastern, European. America has always been a land of hope, and possibility. We can be again. Don't go down the road of political separation, let us all be American.

I grew up with these guys but never remembered Mull as a fantastic guitarist. He's playing competently with one of the best of the best. Note Campbell's ease with pulling off outrageous riffs and licks like he was eating breakfast...

Who knew Martin Mull could play guitar so well? Not me. Glen Campbell was one of The Wrecking Crew, so that was a given, but Martin? Fun!

Wish the clip of him doing By The Time I Get To Pheonix on the show where the legends are sat around. Similar to the famous Gentle On My Mind clip. It was on KZfaq but has disappeared. It featured some beautifully subtle guitar licks

Martin was a funny, funny guy. Lines/titles from his albums included; 'How can I miss you if you won't go away', 'How could I have ever missed a girl of your size', 'The blacks are giving me the blues'. etc. Or listen to 'Ukulele Blues'.

I got to see Glen Campbell's final performance on broadcast tv. He wanted to do one more show before he completely faded away into Alzheimer's. After listening to him for so many years from my father's radio I was sad to see him go!

Here’s how good glen was, according to his golf buddy Alice Cooper, Edward Van Halen asked Cooper if he could set up guitar lessons with Glen. True story
