Great interview! This man is one of my biggest musical inspirations since I saw Black Label on my nineteenth birthday a week before all of the covid lockdowns started. I remember seeing Zakk walk down the stairs of the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver, BC 10 feet away from me. Most legendary experience of my life 🤘

This was a kick ass interview!! Zakk has been favorite guitarist since the 80s!! I still have the VHS pay per view recording of the Moscow Peace Festival that was awesome although I ordered the DVD online to save the tape!! Had a chance to see Zakk in concert last summer and missed the opportunity!! Too many paint chips and glue delayed my timing!!! Lol keep up the awesome work and thanks for sharing!!! SDMF BLEED THE BLACK!!!

Thank you! I would like to place guitar, but I have a messed up left arm that hinders me from fully reaching around the neck and applying fingers to the strings. BUT! I am a drummer ;-)

Unfortunately I was in a nearly fatal car accident last year just before starting summer and fall interviews I had scheduled. I suffered a severe head injury and spinal disk crap in my neck and lower back. It’s been a long road to recovery. I’m still not there yet. Lots of pain and the head Injury has me a bit wonky. Short term memory loss, productivity decline, a lot of the classic frontal lobe injury symptoms. Working on overcoming them. Thank God I didn’t become retarded or a vegetable. So do have a son as a single mom so I am blessed to be able to care for him. I’m blessed my face didn’t get destroyed and I didn’t even break a bone. You wouldn’t believe it with the mangled mess of a car that was left! You can find pics in my Instagram @alyismagic I hope to get back to interviews soon. With this Covid thing and my accident recovery, it’s been one fucked up year!

Thanks for the great interview. Zakk stays in his usual form, doing his exercises (squats, deadlifts, etc.), but he looks a bit tired: "swallowing" the words, wearing the cap, etc. Probably this is due to huge amounts of information we encounter in the modern world and/or due to his intense schedule. As a solution Zakk should think of visiting several federal districts of Russia (central, northwestern, southern, etc.) with amicable visit, without touring -- to talk with ordinary people here, to visit old historical places, old small cities (some them are 1000+ years old), to see the specific nature, forests and lakes, to breathe the air, to learn a couple of russian words. Despite the politico-economical situation, which we constantly hear on the medias, people here stay united, keen and welcoming. Or probably he already did this type of visits in Russia? Could you next time ask him this question? Thanks.

I'd like to invite both of you at least in St.Petersburg, which is on the north-west region of the country, quite close to Finland and which is considered as "cultural capital". You should know that Zakk inspired lots of young folks here in Russia to go buy their first Les Paul (or order Barbarian or Odin right now) and start rocking in their room to have a certain feel of liberty. And as people say on your Instagram -- stay metal!

If you watch a lot of Zack’s interviews over the years, when he’s asked about having a preshow ritual; he always states that he likes to eat paint chips and sniff glue. So I basically took what he said and incorporated it into our interview as an icebreaker. He absolutely loved this and really enjoyed that I tuned into previous interviews

Watch right after he says, "It always ends up coming back to fast cars, fast women, and good times!" Pause it at 4:35. Boobs are proof that men can focus on more than one thing at once. No doubt he's 100 percent committed to "the boss", but there isn't a straight man alive whose eyes wouldn't go there at least once from that range.

I never claimed to be a guitarist. I do own 5 electric guitars, but I am unable to reach around the neck due to a birth injury called Erb's Palsy. I can play a little, but noting great or fast. Just dealing with the hand I was felt with in life.. Pun intended :-) Although I have played instruments my whole life, I am actually a drummer. Drumming has actually helped me rehab and improve hand an arm dexterity. So I stick with it. I am simply passionate about feeling music and playing it. Not in a band, don't want to be in a band, ever. Having randomly made friends with musicians (sometimes not even knowing who they were when I met them) I have always taken an interest to their art and creation and I know other people like yourself want to know more about fantastic artists like Zakk. Plus I am great talking to people so there for, there I am.

You are a great interviewer, very thoughtful on your questions, and these simp plebs are just jealous, or just spew hate because their lives are miserable or whatever. You love music, and thats all that matters. Where the fuck does it say someone has to be in a band to interview ppl? They just mad cause they dont get to set and talk to such a beautiful woman and talk about their playing guitar, which they probably are just intermediates wishing they could be great but never dedicated time and passion into what they wished could do, and now as frustrated adults lash out at ppl living their dreams because they settled down and their inner rock star is angry tortured soul, or just some dumbass kid in his moms basement
