Hi Morrison! I thought it would be very helpful if you showed us how you do your bar chords and those chords that ask to really stretch your fingers just to get to them. If we can see how you do those hopefully we can mimic it and see if it helps! A lot of people will say how but won't actually show someone with small hands doing these.

Then I went down a rabbit hole of your videos, searching for more guitar tutorials, just so I could hear you talk about life and stuff. Wonderful job! Its like a lovely visit with a very dear friend. My hands are only slightly larger than yours, and I've played guitar since elementary school...A bit of guitar advice for like minded people. The Fender and squire "modern C neck " is VERY comfortable 👌 another thin neck is the Les Paul "60s style" slim neck. I adore my Gretsch electromatics tone but it does requires a more creative approach for reach. On an F cord, I bar only the 1st and 2nd strings ( high E and D) then add in the remaining strings. Hope this helps, ✌💕🙏

Morrison man, I love your content, and your humour had me in stiches, if I could fingerpick id'v picked longer ones 🤣🤣🤣 I lost it. I'm 73+ years young-old depending on people's views, I tend to think towards the young side😊 I started to play guitar about a year ago, I have relatively short stubby fingers, it's certainly problematic! For me I think it's finding the right guitar I've had two both parlour 12 fret to the bout, one 43mm the other 45mm I've stuck with them for six months each, I just can't in the first possion play chords like C-B etc without the backs of my other fingers muting other strings, in my case I think it's more to do with string spacing I'm now thinking 1"/3/4 at the nut, shallow C shape or V fretboard. I know we slightly older short stubby fingered players can overcome many of the problems, but I think getting the guitar right would make things a lot easier. I hope you and your extended family are keeping well, all the best for the new year, subscribed. 👍 Forgot to add, i've tried the thumb lower on the back of the fretboard thing and bringing the elbow forward, it can get very frustrating at times, but I'll never give up😊 you take care.

I'm 5'11 my grandfather and my mother were 4'11 and I inherited their hands. I play guitar and was able to make it work. But, people don't understand the struggle to play everything with smaller hands. I feel ya. Gibson Les Paul guitars work for me. But Fender Strat, my favorite because of the tone has frets that are to big. But oh well.

Why would anyone question your use of a glove to demonstrate the length of your fingers? I don’t think you were performing a magicians trick! In the other video, you did mention the length of your middle finger. There is no doubt about it, your fingers are short! If in doubt, the naysayers can use a measuring tape and check the length of their own fingers. I checked mine, but only because I have trouble stretching, and thought it was my small hands, but I know now, I have NO excuse.
