In this video we try to sift through the news of the Orlando attack which left 50 people dead and many more wounded and discuss the new calls for gun control measures from both sides of the political table. Guys, remember that we are not political analysts or experts, we just try to understand things as best we can and put some food for thought out there for you guys. Also, while the shooter used a Sig MCX rifle to commit this heinous act, all AR-15s including variants are being demonized once again along with all lawful gun owners.

In Germany it is nearly impossible to get a gun permit for legal carry and self defense and looking at the laws regarding knives its getting ridiculous. Fixed blade knives up to 5.7 inch are legal to carry, one handed opening folding knives with lock no matter which size are illegal to carry. Criminals don´t care about gun laws. They carry and use whatever they want. Defend your rights in the US as long as you have them.

Approximately two-thirds of gun deaths in the US are suicides, and plenty of countries with stricter gun laws have higher rates of suicide. We also have a lot of laws restricting gun use and availability, but terrorists and criminals aren't afraid of breaking laws.

After an event like this one, NRA should offer a free Conceal Carry course for any new LGBT member, as well as a discount price on their first firearm. It would encourage LGBT people to learn about guns, train and buy a mean of protection. Since they could be part of a minority group that could be a target for more violent actions against them, they should definitely need a gun for protection. Also, the more diverse the gun community, the harder it will be for anti-gunners to claim gun owners are only some lunatic-christian-republican-angry-racist-middle-age-white-men-with-small-penis.... (as we so often read it from anti-gunners).

So I'm from India, and we have hilariously complicated gun rules that in all essence prevent you from owning anything more than a .22 handgun with a 10 round magazine capacity. This is not to mention the number of hands you need to grease and the years of waiting that comes with getting a license. Carrying weapons is not even up for discussion, let alone a concept. On the 26th of September, 2011 terrorists walked into Mumbai, one of the largest cities and caused hell. They took over the Taj and they shot up the Trident hotels. They shot up a train station. Unfortunately, our police weren't equipped to deal with the terrorists, who had illegally obtained Ak-47s, Glock 17s and kevlar. To this day, I can't help but think, if just one person had a firearm, just one, they could have bought the NSG counter terrorist teams precious moments that could have potentially saved civilian lives and the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who had to lay down his life as his team breached the Taj. More recently, in Bangalore, a police inspector was shot as he pursued a thief who had robbed a store at gunpoint. All over India, many people are shot by thugs trying to cut their sandalwood trees. To me, one thing is obvious, no matter the availability of firearms, those wanting to commit a crime with a firearm will always find access to one. By limiting access to firearms, you're just keeping them out of the hands of law abiding citizens who wish to defend themselves. The United States has long been a country that was looked up to for allowing it's citizens to defend themselves. It'll be a sad day when that right is taken away from people. To those saying you don't need more than x number of rounds in a magazine, you're clearly never shot at someone in a life or death situation, or had to defend yourself. Just because you point your weapon at a target and pull the trigger, doesn't mean you'll hit. Especially if you're being shot at or are under duress for any other reason. Thanks for making this video guys, in my opinion it's not just for US citizens, but for citizens of countries around the world who aren't allowed to defend themselves. Hold on to your right. Don't let it go.

This is why I love living in NH. The only place you can't legally carry is in a court house. A "No Guns Allowed" sign carries no legal weight so the worse they can do is ask you to leave. If you're CC and no one knows you're good to go.

They have no other choice. This attack completely destroys democrats' narrative and policies. If they don't make it about something unrelated, Clinton is done. @gophop
@gophop 8 жыл бұрын
***** She absolutely will ban whatever possible. Also, remember that she will appoint Supreme Court judges that need replacement. She will put anti-gun libs in those posts. That means any firearm related lawsuit will automatically be ruled in favor of the government. They will likely overturn self-defense rulings, as well. Depending on what it is, you should get the gun that might get banned, like, yesterday. Bolt guns and revolvers can wait. Modern semi-auto - get it now. Even if they don't get banned, the demand will be through the roof all the way to the election day. And prices won't come back down for a few months. So, if you wait, best case scenario, you won't get the gun for a good price until next year. Worst case - you won't get one at all, or will have to pay and arm and a leg via private party, if you can find one.

I am a convicted felon (Tax evasion was the charge) but other than having an honest disagreement with the IRS I have a perfect record of being a law abiding citizen. I am a veteran of the Viet Nam war era 1974 to 1978. I have an excellent military record and never so much as been pulled over by police in 50 years except for one time. A tail light burned out on my car. Why can't I protect my wife and myself ? There are plenty of Muslims in our area. How can I guarantee our own safety if not with a firearm. We are elderly and have NO other means of protection. I must risk as great an evil from my own government as I do from Islamic terrorist.

The 2nd Amendment is the only Constitutional Right the Founding Fathers added the words "Shall Not Be Infringed".... *in·fringe /inˈfrinj/ verb past tense: infringed; past participle:infringed -actively break the terms of (a law, agreement, etc.). "making an unauthorized copy would infringe copyright" synonyms: contravene, violate, transgress, break, breach; disobey, defy, flout, fly in the face of; disregard, ignore, neglect; go beyond, overstep, exceed; infract "the statute infringed constitutionally guaranteed rights" act so as to limit or undermine (something); encroach on. "his legal rights were being infringed" synonyms: restrict, limit, curb, check, encroach on; undermine, erode, diminish, weaken, impair, damage, compromise "the surveillance infringed on his rights" Can't touch nor mess with it.

First time firing a .40 was on range qualify for open carry permit for security guards in California. It was a sig pro 2340. That gun was a loaner from the guard training school. I bought a s&w 4006 in 40 for the job. Turns out the company I work for is an "unarmed policy" type of private patrol operator. DOH! It was too expensive and not worth the time and money for firearms certificate if not allowed to pack heat on duty. I sold the 4006. Wish I didn't sell it. All stainlees steel. Was a highway patrol duty pistol before I bought it. Felt like I had a cadillac on my belt but the muzzle jump was mild for a 40.

Yeah, they use BULLSHIT as their offense".. Claiming that background checks aren't conducted, that semi-autos are "assault weapons", claiming that cosmetic features make the gun more deadly (such as pistol grips, barrel shrouds.. etc..), blaming the AVAILAILTY of guns rather than the ROOT CAUSES of the problems in society, misrepresenting FACTS such as counting suicides and justified homicides as the overall homicide statistic.. It's absolutely DISGUSTING, the bullshit that comes out of them.. Blaming the legitimate gun owner if they have their home broken into and have their guns stolen, instead of blaming the burglar, or home invader.. NOT taking mental illness and psychotropic medications into account, which a LOT of these murderers have found to be under the influence of.. Just recently, Michael Moore spreading bullshit about AR-15 ammo and how they act in tissue.. That "reporter" who claimed to get "temporary PTSD" from firing an AR-15 when he had hearing protection on.. Claiming the muzzle blast sounded like a "bomb".. This is the type of bullshit that legitimate gun owners have to fight against.. EVERY SINGLE TIME, gun owners respond with FACTS regarding the homicide rates, stats from the FBI and government, and it ALL GETS IGNORED.. Meanwhile, there are POLITICIANS that are SMUGGLING GUNS and MISSILES.. OBAMA himself is selling 40 BILLION worth of military arms to Saudi Arabia.. Then there are these bootlicking Brits and Australians who call for gun control in America because they claim it "works", in their country.. But they fail to mention that EVERY SINGLE OTHER TYPE OF VIOLENT CRIME IS HIGHER IN THEIR COUNTRY.. They FAIL to mention that their murder rates have been on the DECLINE BEFORE the stricter gun control laws were implemented.. The anti-gunner's argument is COMPLETE BULLSHIT.. And of course, they have no problem with the police and government having ANY guns they want, but when in the hands of civilians, they say.. "the only purpose for a gun is to kill.." Complete fucking hypocritical garbage..

For example I live in Alaska, it's perfectly legal to have my 1911 and go sit at the bar at Applebee's, but as soon as I order a drink I'm breaking the law, however it's illegal to to have a firearm in an establishment that exclusively serves alcohol. And that I think is crap because I don't drink, I'm always DD so I feel I should be able to carry.

darrell3391 What's funny is that even if the anti gunners got their precious "assault weapons" ban, people would just build them in their garages. I personally have enough lowers, the tooling, and parts to build 3 complete AR15s without a serial number or background check. All they would get if they got their way is a flood of home made guns everywhere without serial numbers or a way to trace. These people are just wasting their time and have no comprehension of unintended consequences.

I'm all for owning guns. This man should not have been allowed to buy/own guns for a couple reasons. First being he was a domestic abuser. He had a history of violence. And two, and probably the more important one, he was a suspected terrorist. Why are suspected terrorists allowed to buy guns?? Someone give me a good reason because no one has been able to so far. Keeping guns out of suspected terrorists and violent abusers makes perfect sense to me.

Too many people are counterproductive by insulting and being aggressive, don't prove their point by acting in a hostile way. Good video, good points hopefully it reaches the right people.

As the facts below will show any new “Assault” Weapons Ban will have little or no impact on Firearms murders in the United States. Here are the facts. According to the FBI: From 2009-2013 There were 44,077 Murders with Firearms. The five year average is 8,815. With a downward trend which makes sense given the economic recovery. 2014 and 2015 both crime and violent crime where down as a whole. In Addition so where firearm murders, however only summary data is available for 2014-2015. By weapon type: Handguns: 5 year total: 31,053 5 Year Average: 6,211 Percentage of Firearms murders: ~70 Percent *ALL Rifles: 5 Year Total: 1,633 5 Year Average: 327 Percentage of Firearms murders: ~4 Percent ALL Shotguns: 5 Year Total: 1,796 5 Year Average: 354 Percentage of Firearms murders: ~4 Percent Other Guns: 5 Year Total: 525 5 Year Average: 105 (air, pellet,b.b. etc.) Percentage of Firearms murders: ~1 Percent *Firearms, type not stated:5 Year Total: 9,097 5 Year Average: 1819 Percentage of Firearms murders: ~19 Percent (of Which well over 90 percent are handguns) excluded from data. See *5 Below. If you mind is not blow yet it is about to be blown. *Knives : 5 Year Total: 8,337 5 Year Average:1,676 About 510 Percent compared to ALL Rifles on average. Or 410% greater than all rifles. *Blunt objects: 5 Year Total: 2,624 5 Year Average: 525 About 228 Percent compared to ALL Rifles on average. Or 128 % greater than all rifles. *Personal weapons: 5 Year Total: 3.731 5 Year Average: 746 About 160 Percent compared to ALL Rifles on average. Or 60% greater than all rifles. Conclusions: You are 4 times more likely to be murdered with a knife than ALL Rifles. You are twice as likely to be murdered with a Blunt object than ALL Rifles. You are sixty percent more likely to be murdered by someones fist or feet, than ALL Rifles. You are Nineteen times more likely to be murdered with a Handgun than any rifle. So Knives kill more than All rifles, blunt objects kill more than All rifles, even hand-to-hand kills more than All Rifles. Another thing to keep in mind is that AR-15 make up the minority of deaths by rifle. So banning the Ar-15 or even all semi-automatic rifles will make no statistical difference, and in practice no real difference since the terrorists and criminals will just use other guns...or even the banned ones. Also keep in mind that if criminals/ terrorist can get fully automatic AKs in Paris they can get them anywhere. Regardless of laws or regulations, because they are in criminals, and criminals do not follow the laws.

Facts, Work Cited, and Footnotes. Facts about the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban (1994-2004) Fact: Murder rates were 19.3% higher when the Federal assault weapons ban was in force Source: An examination of the effects of concealed weapons laws and assault weapons bans on state-level murder rates, Applied Economics Letters, Vol 21, No. 4 Fact:“The ban has failed to reduce the average number of victims per gun murder incident or multiple gunshot wound victims.” Source: Impacts of the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban: 1994-96, National Institute of Justice, March 1999 Facts about State State assault weapons bans Fact: State assault weapons bans “did not significantly affect murder rates” in a study covering 1980-2009. Source: An examination of the effects of concealed weapons laws and assault weapons bans on state-level murder rates, Applied Economics Letters, Vol 21, No. 4 *1: Includes all rifle types: such as bolt action, pump action, lever action, single-shot,Full-Auto (banned since 1986) and semi-automatic. Semi-automatic includes ALL AR-10, Ar-15, ak,etc. Also includes all calibers from the smallest (.22lr) to the intermediate .223/5.56 (AR-15) to the biggest (.50 BMG, 50 cal). A 113 year old 1903 Springfield IS far more deadly and also has a far greater range than ANY AR-15. .223/5.56 is not a high-powered round/caliber. It is banned from being used in hunting of deer in certain states because it does not have adequate power to take a down a deer in an “appropriate manner” such as one-shot one kill, also Hypovolemic shock. *2: Includes all Knives and cutting instruments *3: (clubs, hammers, bats, etc.) *4: (hands, fists, feet, Pushed, etc) *5: 97 percent are non-identified handguns and shotguns. Based on caliber and ballistics of non-recovered firearms. excluded from data. If I included them in data handgun murdered would be an even higher percentage of firearms murders. Eh. That's because of how we define violent crimes. It's like asking an office businessman what's violent vs asking an MMA fighter what they consider violent. If you were to compare fatally violent attacks between the two countries, the USA comes out much higher. "The FBI’s Uniform Crime Reports defines a “violent crime” as one of four specific offences: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. The British Home Office, by contrast, has a substantially different definition of violent crime. The British definition includes all “crimes against the person,” including simple assaults, all robberies, and all “sexual offenses,” as opposed to the FBI, which only counts aggravated assaults and “forcible rapes.” blog.skepticallibertarian.com/2013/01/12/fact-checking-ben-swann-is-the-uk-really-5-times-more-violent-than-the-us/

This is just a typical liberal leftist tactic to attack a person who they feel they are above "Oh look at these peasants! Ha-ha-ha Buffy! Let's go to the tennis court! I just 'pwned' those peons! Ha, I'm using their lingo now!" And to say that shit to someone who has done nothing to you except protect you and your rights.. your parents and grandparents would slap the shit out of you. Also, to do so simply because you choose to digest all of the vomit the 100% leftist media pukes into your gullet is sickening. You're really pissing on the graves of the millions of people who have died to give us our privileges and rights. Look up some actual statistics. You're more likely to die from malpractice or getting hit by some teen on their phone than gun violence.. unless you're in a violent gang, but then that'll just be par for the course, right?

First off I'd like to say I respect both of you guys a lot, and don't get me wrong, guns are awesome, I happen to own an M1 Garand and a World War 1 (replica) 1911. Now I'm a Canadian and I love both my guns, and yeah I wish they where slightly easier to get, but in reality I'm okay with making them harder to get as long as it makes my community more safe. You guys said it yourself, "people kill people not guns" which is exactly what I'm saying. I understand your anger against taking away automatic guns, however what is wrong with making them just a bit harder to get so that way we can have more guns for good people and less guns for people we know are bad? And for the record, I totally agree that you can't just take away all the guns. Most citizens already own one and it would be just like trying to ban alcohol. (Which Canada almost had a fricken war over, haha.) EDIT: Also, I'd recommend some guards with guns in a club, not everyday visitors. (Alcohol+Fights+Guns don't tend to go to well.)

I am from Canada and believe in free speech, and the right to own firearms. I also support NO limits on magazine capacity, NO limits on the type of firearm I can own, or how many. I also wish I could have a carry firearm. I and many of my fellow Canadians support, and wish we had our own version of you're second amendment. I am confused why you are insulting Theeflea03 who only supported everything in this video, with a concern regarding making it more difficult for criminals, gangs, and mentally unstable people to get a hold of a firearm. I am from Canada, and my voice in support of this video is just as important and qualified as your's!
@theeflea03
@theeflea03 8 жыл бұрын
gunnerjames105 Completely understand, thanks for the support! Not sure why some people are disagreeing with me even though I support the video. All I would like to see United States do, is just make it harder for people such as gang bangers and terrorist to get a hold of guns, nonetheless I couldn't agree more. Also, when pro gun guys get angry, it gives an argument for the anti-gun people to say "look how crazy they are" which isn't very fair to me and gunnerjames105 who respect guns and would just like to see some refined laws that make it easier for good people to get guns but harder for bad people to get guns.

They are afraid of the slippery slope.If you give an inch, they'll take a mile. We see in our own country of Canada how Bill 68 destroyed many rights to firearms ownership. The bullshit of long gun registry, The fact that R.C.M.P. could again be in charge of what is, or isn't allowed scares me. The FBI, apparently restrained by the White House, are not doing their jobs properly, as to not appear racist. There are enough laws, they just need to be applied and enforced. If this idiot that shot up the place in Orlando was interviewed twice by the FBI, and apparently had a connection to a suicide bomber, and was reported by a gun store owner to the FBI regarding his suspicion this guy was possibly dangerous, why was he able to buy a gun?
@theeflea03
@theeflea03 8 жыл бұрын
gunnerjames105 haha, exactly. Canada needs to tone down its regulations and America needs to fix theirs. Even worse, I was trying to import an Air-gun from USA the other day and even though it fell into every legal requirement possible, the RCMP took it away and legitimately said that they took it because they didn't like the way it looked. I had to cancel the order after two weeks of them not contacting me.

Two questions, 1. As an Australian who was 12 years old when our guns were taken and grew up in a very liberal family, I probably might not ever get it but I want to try, why are you guys so scared of you guns being taken and being ruled by a "tyrannical government"? I mean here in Australia you can work, vote, drive, drink, got to bars and restaurants, watch youtube go muddin and motorbike riding, apart from owning guns there is not much you can't do. 2. Its strange to me that all the American's that love their second amendment so much and pride them self on being able to own a firearm, in all the shootings that have happened in he past 16 years. I can not recall a single one where headline read, Pro gun activist shoots dead and defends innocent lives against a would be terroist....Where were you/they?

I'm also Australian,and blessed to come from there. My family, like 99% of the others after the first convicts and original aboriginal residents of the land, came to Australia to settle as free people. I remember the last mass shooting in Australia..20 years ago... The Australian government bought 600,000 or so guns back from Australians.. and by coincidence, there hasn't been a mass shooting since ! Coincidences are great ! And in 20 years, no one feels like their liberties have been withheld, feel safe, aren't led by fear In an economy that did better than a few others during the 2008 economic downturn. And the weather's good ;) All the best in America - 200,000,000 Americans with guns will be your final solution to feeling safe it seems in order to protect yourself from the elites who want to control through force and power (see, ie;, Hitler). Is it right you can carry guns around with you on the street ? That's amazing to anyone else from any other country and amazing not in a good way...

Can someone with a educated rational answer please respond to my questions.

I think you're missing some key things here. When the Aussie government bought back all the guns, a great deal of gun owners felt their liberties were indeed trampled on and their possessions pinched by the government. Of course you don't think about that because it doesn't effect you if you don't own a firearm so you're happy to see other people stripped of their hobbies and sports. None of us can know for sure, but I'm willing to bet that the fact there hasn't been a mass shooting is indeed a coincidence. Across the ditch we have a far more reasonable regime for gun ownership. But criminals do acquire guns, unintelligent thugs manage to acquire pistols, possibly the most heavily regulated guns here. Crimes like home invasion and people robbing a corner store are often done with a pistol. So what we see from this is that the illegal weapons are available. Naturally, they aren't subject to gun laws. With this in mind guns are freely available to those willing to go above the law. It is the same in any country. The fact that you haven't seen a mass shooting is coincidence. Any criminal who has illegally acquired a firearm and has the mental state to do so, will embark on a mass killing. Anyone could. What it means is you've been lucky enough, and so have we over here, that nobody has had the mindset to go out and get a gun illegally and commit such a horrible act. Yet. But the conditions are there, guns are available illegally and will continue to be.

mobstamaniac Ty for your rational response, and I get most of what you are saying here but Where you say "of coarse I didn't think it about because it does not effect me cause I did not own a fire arm", at the time out government took our guns I was correction 13 and lived with a very liberal family (32 now). The point I am trying to make is that since 19 years ago our right to own fire arms got taken, we have not had a mass shooting, separate individual shootings yes but not mass shootings, maybe 2-3 people died not 5+ nor have we lived under or has there ever been and threat of living under a tyrannical government.

From the first responders to the courageous ones in the club that risked their life to save another's life. I agree, there's not a lot of careers out their that would be more difficult than assessing how to deal with a terrorist shooting with hostages and bomb threat situation. They had to make an assult on a terrorist with hostages and threatening a bomb. There is no way someone could make that assult in an effort to preserve life without being willing to give their life. Sometime its takes someone willing to give their life to save the lives of many. That should be talked about more. Honor and courage.
