As a Massachusetts resident I'm so damn embarrassed by my state. I remember sitting in history class and being so proud to be from the state that started the revolutionary war, how far we have come. Ladies and Gentlemen, if you are reading this, please stand up for your rights and don't let these liberals ruin your state like they have mine! Thanks and good day.

J say bruh it's more than just being a liberal. Who gave President Lincoln all hell about slavery? There was a guy from Boston that owned a paper there a newspaper and he and people in the Boston area are the reason why slavery got abolished. And they were actually liberals. I'm still going to blame it on Kim trails that everybody starting to get stupid. Because people are getting stupid on both sides. You know the people that don't like liberals because of this for this reason they're just as bad off when the time comes and you will see it soon. You take God out of the picture and this is what you get. So it's not really whether you're a liberal or conservative or republican or democrat or or or. Most of the people that believe in guns they say God Bless America but they live a sinner's life and don't have God either. We repeat Hitler because we're indoctrinated with that as kids. Why is it now being Referred to as the Holocaust instead of ww2 in most classes? There were so many facets to ww1 and the aftermath of that (Treaty of Versailles1919). German depression of 1922. Find out who caused that before you go into ww2 and say Hitler.

This happened in Scotland (UK) where I am from. Someone shot someone else with an air rifle, a pellet gun, so now air rifles have been banded and you have to get a license if you want to own one, but it's pretty much the same cost as a fire arms licence. The acts of one person can effect everyone.

Steven Overton - It's estimated that lawful gun owners use their weapons to stop or scare away criminals between 1-2.5 million times a year. It's difficult to come up with a number because a lot of that goes unreported.

Steven Overton - Am I reading you post correct? You think the 2nd amendment is a privilege in the US? ...... Owning a gun in this country is not a privilege, it is a RIGHT. It is the 2nd RIGHT of the people, given to us by the men who made this country, right under freedom of speech. Let me ask you this, if someone joins the US armed forces and comes back with PTSD, should their right to defend themselves be taken away from them because they might, maybe, hurt someone else if they have an episode? That is called infringement and I'm pretty sure part of the second amendment is "shall not infringe". I will tell you, these laws and regulations that are being added are ILLEGAL and the problem is the government is making them without consent of the people. That is how the Nazis took over power in Germany and Austria. They just started making laws and since they had guns and the people didn't civilians would either conform or die. If anyone thinks this could never happen in the US you may find out the hard way some day. The only reason this HASN'T happened yet is because we the people still have power.

Please gun gripe the state of Illinois next! As an Illinois resident we are required to acquire a firearm owners identity card before being allowed the privilege to purchase ammunition or a pistol rifle or shotgun... The state continues to step on our 2nd rights, our house has approved a bump stock ban, an age restriction on firearm purchases to 21 years of age and magazine limit to 10 rounds... These will most likely be approved by our senate when they resume after their recess. Please visit Illinois gun policy as the state continues to walk all over its citizens.

I’m an avid shooter, NRA member and law abiding citizen. I’ve never had any use for a bump stock and in my opinion they’re good for nothing but wasting a ton of ammo. That being said, I feel that creating a law making these illegal is absolutely ridiculous. All his will do is turn law abiding, life respecting folks into criminals. This is a slippery slope, People. This is just the beginning of a long journey of having the government strip us of our constitutional rights. I don’t believe any firearm should be illegal, however I also think that the punishments for someone breaking the law and using a firearm maliciously should be incredibly harsh.

Right Wingers stop paying their taxes in mass to the Federal Bank(Which is actually a private bank by the way and is helping the government to take our guns away) and watch you're politicians crumble to their knees without a single shot fired. Americans can govern themselves but the first step is removing our corrupt Federal Reserve and start printing our own captalist money backed by gold and silver like JFK wanted to. This "Law" took effect on Feb. 1, 2018. According to The Massachusetts State Police, as of Mar. 9, exactly 4 bump stocks have been turned in.......... Sounds like non-compliance with an unjust law to me.

I live in New Hampshire and there are many people up here who fled from Massachusetts. It is like a completely different country south of the NH/Mass border. I avoid getting tangled up with any Massachusetts people or relationships so I can avoid ever going down there.

Our laws here aren't that different from Maine, and I don't know where you get that it is somehow easier here to have an automatic weapon than somewhere else. We still fall under the NFA, just like every other state. I think we are the only New England state with constitutional carry, though.

@@solinvictus39 I only mention automatic weapons because MA and Maine both outright prohibit them, whereas NH has a legitimate path for private citizens to obtain them (even if extremely difficult). But like I said, I don't want one anyway, I'd never use it. The real reason I wouldn't move there is despite the whole "Live free or die" thing, and out of all the hills to die on, it's the only New England state that still won't vote in recreational weed.

I got my notice and basically just laughed.. no reimbursement, just a threat of legal action if caught after Feb 1st with a bumpstock or trigger crank. I have no comment on what I own or don't own, I returned my letter to sender after taking a photo copy of my ass as an add on. God bless love the channel Keep the great content coming. Edit: just want to add on too, stuff like this really hurts people like me that grew up here. The history of our state is amazing we get to live in a state where our great country began, where the ideology of the Patriots that fought tyranny began. It's just sad, hopefully I can move to NH soon enough, as this state appears lost.

As a retired cop, you’re damn right about cops taking an Oath and refusing to enforce unconstitutional laws! Many years ago, after the OJ Simpson murder case, a knee jerk reaction was made in my state to impound amy and all firearms when we responded to a domestic violence situation! Many complied! I refused! I refused on the basis that IF the battery committed did not in any way use a firearm which was present, I would not relieve a citizen of their second amendment rights! Obviously if a firearm was used or threatened a “ safekeeping” of firearms was warranted! Any other misdemeanor crime out there demand a seizure of your property? If a citizen runs a red light, do we seize their car? Even though the car was an instrument of the offense? Cops nowadays sadly have changed! They are hired from a different pool than I was back then! Less veterans, more college liberals. Many feel they and the military are the ones that deserve arms! Some flat out hate guns and only shoot during quarterly quals! Don’t think all are that way, but many are! And sadly, I fear many will follow unjust orders like the one in Mass!

Hey, love your channel, but disagree regarding your interpretation of the 2nd amendment. Every book I've read agrees that gun ownership was mandated and specified but in the context of service to the state. Meaning, you needed to be armed in order to protect the state. That is why called folks to muster - to inspect, train, etc. Currently we do not do anything like this. I would be in favor of mandated gun ownership but in the context of state regulation and oversight AND civic service. Individual ownership of military weapons without state regulation was NOT a part of the 2nd amendment. Please do not ignore the first clause. Second, read Justice Scalia's comments on the Heller decision: he agrees in individual ownership for protection, but with LIMITS. In general, the interpretation that anyone can own anything without any regulation is just not consistent with the interpretation by many over time. All rights are limited in some ways, including the first amendment. Now, that does not mean that states can regulate any way they want. I think NY and CA over-regulate - MA possibly too. I live in GA and feel the laws are okay, but I don't believe that AR-15s should be unregulated. Please don't tell me that an AR-15 is not a military rifle. It is and is used because it inflicts a lot of damage. If not, the military would not use it. I think is is okay to own but with a license. I think you should need a carry license to own an AR-15. My 2 cents.

Paul Ruggiero Men were called to muster because men between a certain age at that time were required to be in militias. However, that didn't mean that if you weren't in a militia, you couldn't own a firearm. It was only due to making sure the firearms were maintained and operated properly, in case there was another war. Secondly, I take what Supreme Court Justices decide, with a grain of salt. Flawed humans deciding on a person's individual liberties is not a sure thing. Lastly, I will tell you that the AR-15 is not a military rifle. If it were a military rifle, it would be fully automatic. This is why there is a difference between the names of the AR-15 and M-16/M4. This is also why the AR-15 is described as being the civilian version of the military M-16/M4. The "inflicts a lot of damage" is not a valid argument. Many handguns inflict a lot of damage. Many rifles inflict a lot of damage. Look at the Ruger Mini-14 for instance. Same caliber equivalent. Same capacity. In my opinion, better system in some ways. But, it isn't in the same league as the AR-15, because it has a wood stock. .223/5.56 is essentially a varmint round. You wouldn't in good conscience hunt much medium sized game with it. You sure as hell wouldn't hunt a bear with it. Sure, you could hunt most medium sized game with it, but you wouldn't have as much leeway compared with a bigger caliber.

I am a mass resident how about the entire ban of ARs and AK style weapons on 07/20/2016 and the lawsuit that is ongoing. With regards to Bump stocks and trigger cranks, I received 3 letters (waste of money) also, 3 bump stocks were turned in 1 trigger crank was turned in. In the entire state!

Just take some time and watch the videos of the illegal search and seizures of firearms after Katrina in Louisiana. Law enforcement and national guard went house to house illegally seizing guns. Word had it they were told to shoot firearm owners if they refused to be searched and give up their guns. I am retired law enforcement and I agree the first and most important part of my job is to support and defend the Constitution. I found it extremely shameful what occurred after Katrina.

No mention of Florida? SB-7026 (signed 3/9/2018) made bumpstocks and similar items illegal and raised the purchase age for rifles to 21. My FFL also said they introduced a 3-day waiting period for rifles (although not for CCWs). I submitted a request for an appointment with Rick Scott to oppose this bill before he signed it but of course "he was not able to meet with me" even though I work for the state of Florida. The so-called "Republican" representatives are introducing these unconstitutional laws, and the FL tax payers now have to foot an estimated $400 million bill that we don't even agree with. It's unbelievable.

Here too in Washington. They passed the senate bill 5992, it will be illegal to sell, manufacture in July 1st, and next year in July, it will be illegal to own, and possess the bump stocks.

There is talk of reclassification of several firearms what ones we don't know for sure but most-likely moving the AR from restricted to prohibited for starters:( The only form of protection we have is voting in the right government unfortunately that is to late.

This isnt near the last straw, as chad even said himself, "this isn't a firearm, its an accessory", this accessory being taken really does not negate your ability to defend yourself against anything, its just a gimmick to waste a magazine. I live in Mass. Personally I could care less about bump stocks, but the laws are out of control. Thankfully I’m moving to a free state. It’s sad but that’s the solution these days is to just move away instead of staying and fighting- but it’s too late here. All of you other states can sit back and laugh at anti-gun states, but it’s only a matter of time before it seeps into your state too. We’re in this together as gun owners. Time to wake up before it all goes out the window.

I live in New Hampshire and work in Mass. I have been writing to the members of the house, the senate and the governor. I have actually gotten call backs so they are getting these messages. Gun owners in Mass need to contact the legislators and need to do it often. if you don't want to call then send emails. Every member of the house and senate has an email. Send multiples and do not stop. Let them know that this is unconstitutional. Call them, flood their inboxes, do something.

I live in Southeast NH near the MA border, Mass has always been considered the iron curtain, It's No Bueno. No diff than California or NY. Above Mass we have our own gun utopia with NH, VT, and Maine all being constitutional carry and relatively gun friendly states. At least as of right now. God only knows what the future holds.

Guy from Massachusetts here. It's really silly how they have banned most cosmetic upgrades as opposed to banning things that could be more lethal. High-caliber ammo, tanerite, fireworks, or canons. I'm against gun laws but when they get implimented, they are never enforced. Disgarging a firearm within 500 feet of a residence happens in suburban areas, high capacity mags and other restrictions will never disappear. We just live with it. Also your Boston accent wasn't too bad.

I live in Indiana. However I lived in Massachusetts and had an LTC for that state. I’ve been in Indiana for 3 years and still received that letter to my new Indiana address. Telling me to turn it in or I would face criminal charges. I’ve never had a bump fire stock or anything of the sort. They sent that letter to every FID or LTC holder in the state. It’s funny because they don’t even know who has one and who doesn’t. And another thing that cracks me up is all the gun companies in Massachusetts. Kahr, Savage, S&W, Thompson Center.

All this attention for the Kids Walking out for 17 minutes for Gun Control. Do these kids truly understand the gravity of their protesting? Which is to have a "Civil Right" (2A). repealed and/or severely restricted. How would those kids feel, if people protested to severely restrict their 1st amendment Right? I'd imagine being shot at, statistically, occurs more often out of a school than within one...surprisingly even without the "gun free zone". Anyone who's been shot at is probably not much for it. They have a right to march and others have a right to disagree with them, while feeling they're being simplistic and/or moronic in their thinking of the real world. They could even feel they're possibly being lead in their thoughts by certain adults and organizations. People could march against many things, some things that kill many more people than firearms. People are free to suppose that children are somehow more informed on these subjects. Others may think some would use those children to push their own agenda. A very nefarious thought. Unfortunately in the end, bad people are bad. Evil exists, and those who pursue it don't seem to give a flip about what the laws say. That doesn't excuse moral grandstanding, and thinking one can take away another's right to defend themselves and their loved ones.

Ah, whataboutism, changing the subject. I think it does excuse moral grandstanding. Evil exists and the profit motive and the view that people are disposable are at the root of it. Anyway, if you thing these kids are puppets of what passes for a "left" in this country, then you seriously over estimate the organizational abilities of liberals (seriously, we suck at it) and underestimate the willfulness of teenagers. Try getting one teenager to do what you want, let alone a million of them. But you are right about one thing: most gun violence occurs in streets and homes. The Brady Campaign was once called "Handgun Control, Inc.," because most gun murders and serious injuries are from pistols. But, we don't have to fix the whole world to fix part of it.

Here in Massachusetts, the "Cradle of Liberty", we have arguably the strictest gun laws in the union. We have an "an assault weapons" ban (luckily as of yesterday, a district judge basically told Mara Healy that was illegal, and hopefully itll be changed) We're basically treated as criminals for owning guns. Luckily our law enforcement is mostly pro gun and has come forward saying they will not enforce unconstitutional laws and firearms confiscation (believe me, they don't want to go to people's houses collecting guns) The attorney general's "approved handguns" list. I love Massachusetts, I've lived here my whole life, id love to spend the rest of my life here, but if Mara Healy stays in office and things don't change or even get worse, I'll be up in New Hampshire in no time. In the words of Mark from Holliston Firearms, Massachusetts WILL come for your guns. It's likely just a matter of time. Yet, where's the NRA? We're on our own here, hopefully GOA and GOAL will step in to help us out.

February 2019. Coastal community 8 miles south of Boston: 1st it took 18 months of bantering back & forth with local PD to obtain my CCW they fought against my 2nd Amendment Right every way they could. Fast forward 6 years permit renewal time again they are fighting me stating I have to prove why I need a CCW permit and when I submitted the renewal application they stated my permit renewal will take at least 6 months and during this 6 month period it is illegal for me to purchase any guns or ammo.

They don’t call em Mass-holes for nothing. I hear it is already illegal to get handloading components (like primers, bullets, brass, etc) mailed to your home! Nuts.

Pete no problem man, this state still sucks tho, im sure these politicians would love to do that, i know sometimes youll see a bill that will outlaw mailing ammo, but they havent passed yet, they try every now and then, its a wicked fight guy.

Eric, when you joined the service you took a oath just like I did, and so did every person that joined the armed forces, and that oath says, ("I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." So there are a lot of us that took that oath and like you said, That oath is with us until the day we die. So we have to keep are oath, or we will be like Australia with no guns! Keep the Oath!!!

I live near the Mass border, in the free state of NH and have known of Mass residents with storage locations in NH for "safe haven" of their weapons.

As LEO in Massachusetts I can honestly say that these insane laws are for the most part, not looked into. The only good thing about the MA license to carry is that when you come across somebody your dealing with and they have an active license, you can rest assured that they are an outstanding citizen/person. They are law-abiding, polite, and respectful. It goes against everything "they" want you to believe, but having a gun license in MA is something many people cherish and have worked hard to get and keep.
