これから、IBMA極真会館増田道場は、武心塾、AKIRA武道スクールの皆さんとグローブを使った組手法と競技法を研究していきます。グローブ組手法は、増田が会長を務めるKWU-SENSHIの仲間たちとも一緒に研究していきます。IBMA極真会館増田道場の皆さんにおかれましては、現在行っている防具を使ったヒッティング組手法をある程度理解していれば、グローブ組手法がすぐに理解できると思います。さらに２種類の組手法を行うことによって、打撃技に関する、より本質的なスキルを認識できるようになると思います。私の説明を聞いて体験すれば理解できると思います。ただし、防具を使ったヒッティング方式の組手に慣れていることが必須です。拓心武道の防具組手の眼目を理解せずにグローブを使った組手を行えば、非常に危険な組手法となります。

◎拓心武道は空手（拓心道空手）、柔術、棒術（拓心棒術）、他、と武道哲学の総称である。
その空手（術）には、基本法、組手型法、組手法で編まれている。
組手法には徒手、また徒手で防具を使用する方法とグローブを使う方法がある。
拓心道空手においては、徒手、防具を使用する組手が基本であるが、グローブを使った組手も実施する。
グローブを使用する組手は、徒手と異なり、ある意味、手に軽いハンマーのような道具を持って戦うようなものだと思っている。また、そのハンマーのような道具は、相手攻撃の盾のような役割も果たす。換言すれば、見方によっては徒手の打撃より、頭部への威力が増す。同時に素手の攻撃や手に小型武器（ナイフなど）を手にした攻撃なら損傷するはずの打撃をグローブや小手の部分によって防御できる。以上のような点は、パンチによるノックアウトの可能性を高め、かつ相手のパンチの防御を容易くする。ただし、防御が容易くなるはずなのに、グローブの道具としての利点を理解せずに、グローブを使用して組手を行えば、ただの殴り合いとなるだけだ。　（増田　章）
（英訳）Takushin Budo is a general term for martial arts philosophy, including karate (Takushindo Karate), jujutsu, stick techniques (Takushinbojutsu), and others.
The karate (jutsu) consists of basic methods, kumite kata methods, and kumite methods.
There are several methods for assembling: manual methods, methods using armor, and methods using gloves.
In Takushindo karate, kumite is basically done manually and using protective gear, but kumite is also practiced using gloves.
I think that kumite, which uses gloves, is different from fighting without hands, and in a sense, it is like fighting with a light hammer-like tool in your hand. The hammer-like tool also acts as a shield from enemy attacks. In other words, depending on how you look at it, it can be more powerful than a manual blow to the head. At the same time, the gloves and gauntlets can protect against blows that would otherwise cause damage if attacked with bare hands or with a small weapon (such as a knife) in hand. The above points increase the possibility of being knocked out by a punch and make it easier to defend against the opponent's punches. However, even though it should make defense easier, if you use gloves to perform kumite without understanding the benefits of gloves as a tool, it will just turn into a fist fight.
◎グローブを使った組手は、グローブと小手（前腕）が相手攻撃の防御のための盾として使える。また、グローブを使った打撃は素手よりも重量がますので威力が増加する。例えば、グローブを使った打撃は鉄球を投げたり、振り回したりするように使えば、最大の効果をもたらすであろう。このことを理解するとグローブを使った組手の上達がより早くなると思う。
また、拓心武術の理法を中心にグローブを使えば、それは拓心棒術の稽古にも繋がる。これはまだ誰も理解できないだろうが体験すれば、すぐにわかる。（増田　章）
（英訳）Kumite using gloves allows the gloves and kote (forearms) to be used as a shield to defend against opponent's attacks. Also, hitting with gloves is heavier than hitting with your bare hands, so it is more powerful. For example, hitting with a glove will have the greatest effect if used like throwing or swinging an iron ball. I think if you understand this, you will be able to improve your kumite skills using gloves faster.
Also, if you use gloves while focusing on the principles of TakushinBudo , it will also lead to practicing TakushinBujutsu. I don't think anyone can understand this yet, but once you experience it, you'll understand it right away.
