He has played 6 all his junior years. Yes he is a running half which makes him a good centre too but his passing and kicking game makes him a half he is still young and still learning his trade.

Dogs as a brand are strong with really passionate fans, I think they’ll be okay in the long run but they need to pick up a game manager, bolster their forward pack a bit with some bigger bodies and Ciraldo needs to find a way to instil that Bulldogs grit back in the team. Should be defence first and then the points come later if they sort out their spine.

Why do they keep talking about a clubs dna?? Every club claims to be tough, and every club claims to be loyal. The reality is the culture of the club is a mixture of the current coaching and administration staff as well as long serving players. The broncos are not the same club Allan langer dominated with. The knights are not the same club Johns dominated with. Those guys aren’t there and you can’t fabricate that it has to happen organically.

the thing that striked me almost immediately re gus's comments, was the broncos wooden spoon then leading the comp 2 yrs later... glad tallis bought that up... is there a reason why this would be an unfair comparison?

The Bulldogs don't have an entire city to pick from. Plus the Broncos weren't in the same bad position with their cap as the Bulldogs.

@@abdul-hadimoussa5146 Plus the Broncos had a top 4 roster in terms of talent, many had them in the GF... they just lacked too mcuh experience and Siebold wasn't really the right fit. They had a lot of young talent that some have left but the ones who stayed have grown so they only had to make a few tweaks

@@maxpower5573 agreed. I believe everyone is getting too worked up over nothing. As a Bulldogs supporter I didn't expect them to make the 8. Add to that the injuries they've suffered and they're about where I expected them to be. Of course this doesn't excuse a loss like the weekend. I also believe we let the wrong centre leave the club next season.

Gus needs to just stay at home and watch leave on tv each week . The guy had all the same stuff to say about the warriors when they hired him . He went from being passionate about his role at warriors to jumping ship in a matter of months . Warriors have shown and proven beyond doubt that they never needed him anyway . Bulldogs also don’t need him . If the dogs want to go better then get rid of Gus just as panthers did .

Warriors have never really been at the bottom they just have failed consistently at making the 8 . They have been out of the 8 more than in it and that’s a big failure of a season as far as a fan is concerned . Some sides can have a miserable season or two but then bounce back to being really competitive for several seasons . However the warriors are the opposite , they can have a good season but then bounce back to having a string of failed seasons . Let’s hope under Webster it will turn the warriors into a consistent top 4 side .

Sorry Gus Deja Vue here. You lamented the Panthers 5 year plan was NOT going as quickly as expected, after you sacked the coach Ivan Cleary. Eventually the Panthers chose the Clearys over you and were rewarded with 3 Grand Final appearances with 2 premierships. Time for the Bulldogs to try to repeat history and get rid of you

Funny how the rugby league media are all over the tigers about their problems and the warriors and broncos a few years ago. But because it's the bulldogs and old Gus is involved, not much is being said. Sydney base media is a joke. After what the warriors have gone through over the last 4 years and to see where they are today . The nrl and the media should be patting the warriors on the back big time instead not a word. Just typical of the mainly Sydney base media.

It's weird because even though yes the Dogs are not performing this year I believe they are still far better off than the Tigers!! And can see them becoming a top 8 team in the near future whereas for the Tigers. I think they're in trouble to the point where they will keep getting wooden spoons for the next 4-5 years until they sack the Chairman and CEO!

That’s a laugh Gus doesn’t want a quick fix, he has been trying to poach Ben Hunt for ages…. Talk about just shifting the blame, you can’t say the club has a losing culture when that is a pretty much a new team, and they are going out buying more new players next year in Steve Crichton and I’m sure a few others. Stop buying Penrith players and coaches and trying to replicate Panthers style of footy, develop your own

Fox doesn't fact check do they?? Kikau been injured all year. TPJ, Carr, Burns and King were brought in by Barrett. Perham is a fringe player, I'm surprised they've mentioned him. Sutton the same. Mahoney has underperformed, Preston has delivered, Oloapu only 18 so I'm struggling to understand why they've put him in this list.

Faaark I'm sick of hearing Gus's 5-year plan rubbish. It feels like a convenient justification for not achieving a premiership and serves as a way to delay accountability. Players are driven to win premierships and don't typically join a team with the expectation of waiting 5 to 6 years to achieve that goal. Faaarken frustrating!

The try Fitzgibbon scored off a hit-up wouldn't happen against any other team. They got hammered on that right edge and made no adjustments to counter it. I think Gus can let Ciraldo take a bullet for that one. :|
