In this tour that we are doing through Malta, in the heart of the Mediterranean, we get to know a little about the nightlife.

The nightlife possibilities in Malta are wide, but they are mainly concentrated in the areas where there are hotels and where the students of the English schools live, and we are headed there.
This means, above all, in San Julián and, in Sliema, where we are staying and in the tourist and hotel towns in the north of the island. The capital Valletta, after a certain time, is almost deserted, with hardly any quiet restaurant in which to dine, but little nightlife.
On the other hand, in Sliema there is a nightlife area, although much quieter than that of San Julián. These are, above all, restaurants with a terrace on the street, bars to have a quiet drink and watch sports and, also, a pub with a British atmosphere that is more lively than the rest of the establishments.
In addition to the quantity, the variety is important: from Irish bars and restaurants to house clubs, through salsa clubs, discos with more current music or some more private place that defines itself as a "gentlemen's club". Each place offers its environment and has its audience, so you can choose, although it is very typical that some offer discounts to students some day of the week to try to gain that segment of the public.
Undoubtedly, being a pandemic year with half-mast tourism influences the nightlife of Malta, which we could appreciate a bit anyway.
