If you’ve found it frustrating that no one can tell you why you have chronic hives on skin (including chronic spontaneous urticaria, dermatographia, and even angioedema), I feel you.
Especially when IgE allergies are ruled out (testing is negative) or even avoiding what you’re allergic to isn’t helpful.
At that point, most doctors will say that there is no answer or clear trigger to what causes urticaria, basically leaving you with an increasing number of medications that may or may not help to control your skin.
To say that this leaves many like you feeling enormously helpless and hopeless is an understatement.
I love helping people stop having hives and urticaria, especially since I get to explore the complex causes of chronic urticaria, which conventional medicine often ignores.
So when new research starts pointing out connections to what I have seen in practice, I must share it!
Let’s dive right in!

I have just had a flare up of this - and looked it up and found what it was called, Hives / Urticaria. I’ve had it before but didn’t know what it was caused by. I have just had viral sickness and diarrhoea less than a week ago with my “insides” still stirred up! I’ve never had a flare-up so bad in this localised area. (On the inside of the tops of my thighs!) After looking it up, I went back to bed and put a square of pure cotton material in place as I lay on my side - and slept for three more hours - and the wheals had gone down. So the cause WAS my intestines after the stomach bug. I’ve have itching before, and in various places and the dr. said, one of the causes was dry skin, and recommended Aveeno moisturiser. This helps. I’ve had various blood tests including for thyroid problems as I had a growth on my thyroid causing hyperparathyroidism, (operated on and corrected.) so I know it wasn’t that, and all the tests were clear. Your video here was a real eye opener! I have osteoporosis which has drastically improved since my operation, but from the old days I was still putting 2 pillows in my knees and leaning and my arms on them - which caused heat build up and said localised hives SO I thought it was that. Also my summer quilt felt too hot - but other people don’t get hives when they overheat!! (Sorry this is so long‼️) One thing that I’m doing, is drinking plenty water to rehydrate - I’m sure this is key, to do this normally. I look forward to looking up those websites you recommend and following your channel. THANK YOU‼️

I had chronic hives and angioedema and your videos have helped me so much. Glycine+NAC was the first piece of the puzzle. Then adding calcium d-glucarate and methylated b vitamins was next. The last piece of the puzzle was adding KPV. I am finally clear of the horrible swelling. I would love to hear your take on KPV since it is fairly new. Thanks!

I have dealt with this issue for over 10 years and one of the biggest problems is people may not take you seriously and act as though you are being a baby or faking it. I want to say thank you for acknowledging this problem and discussing some of the ways to fix it. For me right now the problem is that my life revolves around avoiding getting too hot. In the summertime I have to use auto start and cool my car off as if it's winter time and I want to get into a warm car. At my job in the winter time I cooled the building down to 60° sometimes simply because that was the way that I was able to stay cool enough to do the job and not have to take constant breaks to stand outside in the freezing cold. How can I get in contact with you asap?

Unfortunately I wish it was that simple. Most who have chronic urticaria have tried doing this and have ended up on a really restrictive diet and still are experiencing bad flares. It's much more complicated than just diet triggers as I explain in the video.

@@jenfugo It seems like when I take zinc supplement after my last meal of the day helps to prevent hives and cure it This is something you may want to talk about
@jenfugo

@@Aces77777 it's definitely not curing it otherwise it wouldn't return but zinc can help stabilize mast cells. I have other episodes on zinc and I have talked about it. It can be a helpful tool, but it's not a fix. That said, tools that help while you work on the underlying problems are really important!!!

@@jenfugo If it's all in the gut like you said, fasting for a few days can cure it
@jenfugo

@@Aces77777 actually no, that's not how it works. You aren't killing those organisms from fasting, and especially not from a few days. It's not that simplistic. If it were, people would have figured this out by now and everyone would be better
