I'm loud about my beliefs...I've gotten 3 ppl in my building to turn conservative, and they think it was their idea...thats how good I am. 😄 Honestly..its not hard. Ppl are attracted to others with strong beliefs and convictions. Many ppl don't really know what they think, and when you can state facts clearly and concisely, they suddenly realize how much they agree with you. 🤷♀️

When your parent(s) have no spine, your children will be the same. My parents taught us (5 boys) to stand up for our beliefs. As my Mom put it "I didn't raise boys, I raised men" (yes, she said that to her next door neighbor just months before she passed away. The neighbor shared this story at my Mom's memorial service)

I have talked to and tried debating with millennials here in Austin. It's scary how little they know about history and even geography. Talked to many and this seems universal. My daughter couldn't believe most of the guys in her class didn't know how to change a tire or ride a horse which she knows both.

They are brainwashed and indoctrinated. I know some young successful people who work hard in their mid twenties. They do very well. I also know some woke individuals the same age who are failing miserably in life. 32 years old, never accomplished anything, can barely hold a job and all they do is complain about how unfair the world is and how everyone's racist. I don't know where this bizarre culture came from but I suspect indoctrination in education and social media acceptance, addiction etc. There's something seriously wrong with the way a lot of those people think. It's not about left or right. It's just about common sense. You can't run around calling everyone a racist for example. Otherwise the word no longer has any meaning. Some of the stuff you see nowadays online from the woke left is just bizarre.

I’m in west Texas and my kids know how to do both. I’m a millennial and can train horses, build houses, do HVAC, electrical and plumbing. I’ve taught my kids to do these skills for their sake. The issue is it’s Austin. Chances are we’d agree on most things, but I’m also well informed and well read.

Funny part, even in my late 30s, I'm considered a "geriatric millennial" lol (saw an article designating my age group as such). Yet, I feel like myself and other veterans of the GWOT aren't suffering from this plague of cowardice that seems to have infested our generation. It's like everybody decided that if you leave crazy people alone and don't confront them, then they won't be crazy to you. See that lunatic screaming on the subway swinging an axe? Avoid eye contact. Problem is these people ARE your HR department. A few months ago our white manager held a meeting with 90 employees. I was one of 6 white folks. We were told that the company was too white and it had to change. 4 of the 6 are now gone, I've got resumes out there but it's a very scary time. I expressed my concerns to HR and was told that "I have had it pretty good for the past 3000 years." Not sure how old they think I am, but I don't expect to make it through the holidays with this job.

I was born at the very beginning of what's considered to be the millennial generation and I have never felt in touch with my generation at all. Zero. No connection whatsoever. Now, when I watch stuff like this, it reminds me that my entire generation betrayed me. They claimed to be for a bunch of stuff I was against and in the end, it was all just lies to fit in. I want nothing to do with these people.

Actually I think Lyndon B Johnson was the first boomers’ presidential vote. The Reagan era vote was the late boomers/early Gen X.

@@ScratchGlass9 that would be near the tail end of the boomer generation. 1946-1964 being the most often used years to define that generation. My father is and my mother was early boomers. 1943 and 1944. My eldest brother is 1967 where as my husband is 1981, I’m 1976. Yet somehow we all fall in Gen X. Though my husband is considered one foot in one foot out because he’s right on the cusp. It’s funny how generations are defined. My two eldest are Millennials but my youngest is a millennial/Gen Z not to mention one of the most completely off her rocker progressives I have met. I never thought I would be chastised for being supportive of diplomacy, pro legal immigration and believing in basic human biology but the progressive left have lost their ever loving minds.

I'll never understand the idea that people don't state the same opinion publicly and privately. I'm always happy to let someone know my political views when asked. If someone thinks they're going to give me a hard time about it, well I'm always happy to go there too.

@@sylviam6535 Indeed. I’m in St Louis and tired of watching everything crumble around us. I contacted my local candidate and asked if I could help. I put his sign on our front yard. When my husband got home, he said “Are you TRYING to get us attacked?!” I’m canvassing this weekend, and after what happened to Marco Rubios canvasser a few days ago, I’m a bit nervous. Wish me luck 😬

I remember back when you didn't discuss politics or religion in polite company. I only discuss those things with close friends. And I have friends that I can discuss politics with in person, but not on social media. I believe that to be because of body language and instant responses. You have to wait for responses on social media. You don't in person. It's also sometimes difficult to convey things like sarcasm on social media. I've been working on it though. There are good uses for social media. We just haven't figured it out yet.

I wouldn't doubt that it has something to do with social media acceptance. That's what Facebook twitter, Instagram and all these platforms are about. When you state those statistics it starts to make sense. They agree in public, but behind closed doors it's a different story.
