But in this video, we're looking at Guthrie and he also very eminently qualifies for membership of..."Guitarist's Guitarist". It's a small group of cross-discipline, highly influential virtuosos (that rare breed).

Guthrie Govan is my most favorite guitarist... but I'm sick of hearing him play the same old Erotic Cakes tunes for years on end.

Some more solo material would be amazing. But almost all of his playing is done in various bands like the aristocrats, Hans Zimmer etc so i guess when it comes to doing clinics he hasn’t really had the chance to properly come up with anything new. I’m pretty sure even when he does come up with new stuff it’s aristocrats songs
