Lol, quite the opposite.. Guthrie would be the first to tell you that he’s not interested in technique for technique’s sake but moreso only if it serves the music.. I don’t know that normie is the way I’d describe your tastes.. you just like what you like and this isn’t it. Doesn’t make it right or wrong. 🤷‍♂️

No, he doesn't :) It's just that at this show was meant to be filmed by the hosts only. Guthrie is usually fine with filming.

@@owenbrad Are you sure? I've seen many videos where he is also annoyed by someone filming. I also know that is completely forbidden to film in the aristocrats shows.

in this modern era it seems somewhat... naive. heading towards churlish. he's a celebrity of sorts, deal with it. to add to that, it will be through these recording that he will be immortalized as the fricken genius that he is.

Some more solo material would be amazing. But almost all of his playing is done in various bands like the aristocrats, Hans Zimmer etc so i guess when it comes to doing clinics he hasn’t really had the chance to properly come up with anything new. I’m pretty sure even when he does come up with new stuff it’s aristocrats songs
