The team screwed up the pit stop. Too slow, you got jumped by 4 cars during the pit stop. You had the advantage, you were in the box seat, first car into the pits but far from the ficar to leave. The team let you down, lost track position. Having to restart back in traffic with muppets behind you with little to no wet weather driving experience. Had the team completed your pit stop as quickly as the others you should have been first out of the pits, and maintained control of the race. And subsequently not put in such a vulnerable situation for the restart. The team needs to lift its game.
@user-xi4eh5xx4lАй бұрын
Fully agree. Shane did a great job working his way to the front only for the crew to basically put him back to about where he started but on a wetter track so not ideal. Hopefully they will figure out the reason for the slow stop and get it sorted.
@RassskleАй бұрын
I believe Shane asked for the slower pit stops to avoid mistakes. He knows he can pass these rock apes anytime he wants or needs to......as long as all the nuts are tightened and on straight. If smart, he probably asked them to check the tyre pressures and quality as well. Ambrose lost 2 races when nearly a full second a lap quicker than the field......because of a faulty tyre on the final pit stop. The tyres used in NASCAR are often simply NOT race quality.
