This whole organization went to crap when they missed out on the Taylor hall trade, cause melnyk was out playing golf instead of answering his phone. He missed out on a piece that would have gave them that push to get a cup the next season. Instead of the top guys owning up to their mistake, they tried to save face by bringing in Duchesne. It's kinda like losing big in a poker hand and then trying to recoup your loses. It never works, you just keep losing until you got nothing left.

They didn’t get a downtown arena, because there’s already a big building full of marginal players with deceitful management called Parliament!

The media downplays it but the Sens have many, many fans. Probably more fans than Florida and Arizona combined honestly. I think Melnyk needs to sell the team NOW but they'll stay in Ottawa. The idea they are done in the league after two dismal seasons is ridiculous. They are NOT the Atlanta Thrashers or say the Hartford Whalers. The Sens have had great success in years past winning everything except the Cup. Dorien sucks as GM but you gotta wonder how much Melnyck is pulling his strings?

I’d still rather be the sens than the oilers. The sens are stacked with prospects, picks and cap space. The oilers are capped out and have one bona fide prospect in their pipeline. Melnyk is just a weird guy. Anyone who buys a sports team to make a consistent annual profit and throws a public fit when he’s in the red is bound to be full of weird ideas about how to run the hockey operations. Billionaires buy teams for their personal prestige, ego validation and to turn an eventual profit on the appreciation of the franchise. Melnyk runs his team like he’s operating a convenience store.

As a hockey fan this is sad.... maybe the new rebrand or third should be the O with a frowny face in it.
